Dr. Wheeler, yet another power house article. Concerning some Moslem's sudden 11th hour outrage about old Christian art that illustrates the historical clash between cultures, may I ask them most rudely-

1.) Are you ready to condemn the endless stream of slander and libel gushing forth from Islamic extremists against Christians and Jews? And...

2.) We live in a free society, so we don't cleave to the notion of beheading anyone who offends our beliefs. But could you at least show some civilized sympathy to Christians and Jews who are attacked by the trendy overgrown adolescents of the Art World with such "artisic truimphs" as a portrait of the Virgin Mary in elephant dung, or "artistic" photographs of statues of Jesus Christ and Pope John II immersed in urine entitled "Piss Christ" and "Piss Pope" respectively. NO, we are NOT asking for repression of speech or expression, just a a simple expression of indignation at a breech of good taste.

Funny, I'm not even religious, but I felt compelled to write the above.

Jack- thanks for salvaging some good news out of this past week which was tough after McCain spoke in OR and the court spoke in CA. Yes the voters will awaken again in CA and pass a constitutional amendment to shut the door to this terrible attack on marriage. The voters in OR are too far left.

Obama looked like a rank amateur responding to Bush. It was not long ago that Obama's position on negoitating with the bad guys would have disqualified him for the Senate.

The bigger (and better) issue with your report on Europe is that Christians are waking up to the "religion of peace" and pushing back.

Jack, the HFR is my absolute favorite especially after listening during the week to the wimps in the MSM whine about the "recession" that doesn't exist and other various predictions of doom. The worse they make the country look the better the chances (they think) for the treasonous Dems. I noticed though that this week you REALLY had to struggle, for good reason...make that reasons. I'm impressed you were able to at least come up with one or two tidbits. I've wondered about Obigot ever since his "ever charming" (blegh) wife, at the very beginning of his campaign, berated him for his "stinky morning breath" , his inability to load the freaking dishwasher or make the bed. Obviously liberal men are used to their wives sneering at them in public but you can bet that no husband worth his testosterone that I've ever known would have a wife like that for very long. That is, unless the wife is a "beard"....
Now, some of the posters are overjoyed thinking that the PIAPS is gone. Good luck with that, guys. If you think she's gone you haven't followed the PIAPS for very long. Never, EVER, EVER underestimate the Clintons. They've been "gone" MANY times prior to this. Sorry to burst your bubble but "it ain't over until it's over". Which is probably why Jack didn't even bother to mention her.....yet.

FEBRUARY 14--Ratcheting up the crazy, the Minnesota man who last month posted a YouTube video in which he claimed to have engaged in a sex-and-drugs party with Senator Barack Obama has filed a federal lawsuit against the presidential candidate and the Democratic party, charging that he is being subjected to a vicious slander campaign. Larry Sinclair contends that he has been unfairly targeted after surfacing last month with claims (entirely unsubstantiated, of course) that he "personally engaged in sexual activity and personally used illegal drugs in November 1999" with Obama, then an Illinois state representative.
