Think of your favorite movie...or one you remember well. Pick a memorable dramatic scene. Now imagine the scene from the perspective of a certain character in that scene.  What choices does that person have?  Who had the most choices? What happened? Could it have played out differently if your character had more choices?

The more choices you have -- the more power you have.

The more choices you have -- the greater the likelihood that one or more of them could wind up being "good" choices for you.

The more choices you have - the more freedom you have.

The more choices you have  -- the more safety you have.

We didn't always plan to give ourselves the most possible choices or options.  We didn't realize that we would need them. Planning for the most likely scenarios, like retirement, was considered well-grounded, prudent planning by most experts. What went askew?  Even those who planned and executed well were operating in a "predictable" world with more predictable outcomes.  Or, so they thought.  Now we're in an increasingly chaotic situation.

Over the past decades as we've made financial and life decisions and acted on them, we were planning for "possible" futures, often thinking of them as "probable" futures.  Now some of the realities - and possible futures we anticipate from this vantage point, are situations we haven't planned well for.

For instance, if you live in the U.S. -- under what conditions would the part of the country that you live in become "unlivable"?  These days it's easier to imagine this occurring than just a few years ago.

You may feel as I do, that much of what is happening now are some of the worst things we've dreaded could happen to America for decades.  It can take your breath away to see not only what has been happening in our country, but the speed at which it has been happening. And the speed at which elected officials and unelected bureaucrats take such destructive action against our choices.

There is a pattern in how they are reducing individual liberty - simply taking away more and more of our choices, our options.  And with those stolen choices our families have progressively less freedom , less power, and less safety.

In the area of life called Financial Plan B, which includes surviving before thriving, there are questions that need to be uncovered...and answers sought.  These bring up personal options, choices that we may or may not be fully aware of now.

This December 9th I am planning a special one-day Workshop Event on "Choices & Power: A Financial Plan B for Surviving & Thriving."

It will be in St. Louis at a nice hotel very close to the airport, that is giving us a great room rate.  It is by Invitation Only.  There is even a one-page application.

Why? Because this event is not appropriate for everybody -you should only be there if it's what you want.  The purpose is not to entertain you, sell you something, or try to win you over to a theory.  It is a working session.

What does that mean?  It means we are going to work.  Each participant will work in a notebook with powerful planning exercises that assist you in developing your New Plan B.  You will be trained on using it in upcoming months or years. You can bring your spouse for the same conference fee, but they have to work, too.

Topics covered relate to:

Asset Protection & Banking Options: In the U.S., Abroad, in dollars, in other currencies. Financial instruments.

Investment & Real Estate Options: What to focus on and avoid.

Gold & Silver Options: A new option you don't yet know about.

Repositioning Your Life in America: Where are the best, safest choices?

Options for Living Abroad: Do you want or how can you have a cost-effective option?

Planning & Implementation Tactics:  How to plan it so that you do it.

Resources & Support: Who and how to build a support structure for your plan.

These are fundamental aspects of where and how we live, where we've placed our resources, how that's working for us, where are we vulnerable, what small and large actions we can take immediately. Naturally, you don't have to reveal your situation to anyone. During the day we will broadly consider where in the world one might choose to live, how one could do that, and where or how to reposition our resources (and not just financial resources.)

TTP members can get an invitation by emailing me at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . Non-members of TTP can get an invitation only with a personal recommendation of a member.  We will have 8 outstanding speakers discussing practical options that are widely known in these areas. (I persuaded Jack to be one of them.)

While participants will definitely learn things they didn't know, this is not to dump a ton of new data in your lap.  The value of more information is directly related to your ability to use it. We want you to leave with more information AND the ability to process, utilize, and apply it consistently because our  lives reflect many of our habits - or habitual ways of behaving.

I often look at "life planning" with the glasses I wear for "business planning" which I'm told is much like military planning.  While the lifeblood of business is planning, the Plan cannot be just any plan.

It cannot just be a plan only how to succeed.  You can always think of a way something could possibly work out.  It must also be a plan around failure.  I did not say a plan "to fail" but a plan "around failure" by anticipating how failures, large and small, could occur and then literally "going around them."  How that is done varies widely with countless options for avoiding something that you know could "go wrong."

This doesn't have to be high-level, mysterious "strategic" planning.  It could apply to a picnic! Rather than plan only for how to enjoy the perfect picnic, what could go wrong?  Weather, food problems, logistical complications, transportation breakdowns, injuries, etc.  Most Americans only planned for the perfect picnic - and here we are now.

There is a workshop fee, but that should not be how you decide if you should attend. If you are curious or interested in more information on attending the "Surviving and Thriving Plan B Workshop" send me an email - This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it -- and I will send you more information.

Thanks - and I hope to see you in St. Louis.
