THE WEAPON OF MASS HEALTH DESTRUCTION |

For years our military has been in
search of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) in Iraq and Afghanistan, and our intelligence agencies have also been scouring the
world to unearth these threats.
Good idea.. wrong location. The
single greatest WMD, which will adversely affect every American, was not
developed on foreign soil: it is The Obama-Pelosi-Reid Health Care
Legislation. WMHD for short.
The heart and core of their plan
is based on the most inhumane and unethical means of cutting costs: the
rationing and denying of care. Even worse, the death panels that will ration
and deny care, according to the Obama-Pelosi-Reid plan, will be unelected and
unaccountable Federal bureaucrats.
On Sunday, November 22, Fox News
Sunday interviewed Senator Arlen Specter, who was a Democrat before he was
Republican before he was a Democrat. Senator Specter let the "secret
agenda" of Obama-Pelosi-Reid slip.
When questioned on the fact that
the Senate Bill cuts $500 Billion in Medicare spending over ten years, yet in
ten years there will be 30 percent more people in Medicare, Senator Specter
stumbled. He admitted that Congress has never cut Medicare benefits in its
history and then confessed, "This Bill
has a provision, a cure, in how we can cut Medicare: a Commission."
That's right, a non-elected
Commission will be appointed by The President. Sarah Palin accurately desribed it as a "death panel." Starting in 2015,
this Commission will oversee Medicare and its expenditures, but this Commission
will not be accountable to or recallable by the electorate. Initially, the
Commission will oversee cuts to Medicare Advantage, the same program that
services 10 million Seniors.
Using this type of panel to make
such cuts, when it is not accountable to or elected by the public, is like
bombing an enemy from 40,000 feet. Destruction occurs, but you don't see their
faces. By 2019, all limits are off, and every American can become
the target of the carpet bombing.
The bad news is that through this
legislation authored by Obama-Pelosi-Reid, every American is facing more than
one bomber. Through the hidden health care portion of The Stimulus
Bill, we are facing a squadron of bombers:
The Federal Coordinating Council
of Comparative Effectiveness Research, The National Coordinator of Health
Information Technology Office, and The Medicare Commission in The Health Care
Bill.
Their mission is to deny and
ration care, and, as stated in The Stimulus Bill, "To guide medical decisions
at the time and place of care." Say so long to your privacy, to
doctor-patient privilege, to choice, and to control over and access to your
health care options.
To make matters worse, Senator Jim
DeMint (R-SC) identified language in the Senate version, which should make
every American question the underlying purpose of this legislation. On Page
1020, referring to The Medicare Advisory Board, the Senate version
states:
"It shall not be in order in the Senate or the House
of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment, or conference
report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection."
It becomes evident this
legislation is not about creating affordable, available and quality based
health care. It is about controlling every American's life.
Even the Mayor of New York City,
Michael Bloomberg, once an ObamaCare supporter, stated to The Huffington
Post on December 28th:
"I have asked congressperson after
congressperson, not one can explain to me what's in the bill, even in the House
version -- certainly not in the other version. And so for them to vote on
a bill that they don't understand whatsoever, really, you got to question what
kind of government we have."
I welcome Mayor Bloomberg to
finally join the tens of millions of us who for many months have been
questioning both this legislation and those promoting the WMHD of
Obama-Pelosi-Reid. Better late than never.
To add fuel to the questioning-the-government,
fire, take a look at Senator Max Baucus' recent performance on the Senate Floor.
Senator Baucus, the "esteemed" Chairman of The Senate Finance Committee and
Co-conspirator in the development of the WMHD legislation, went on a tirade on
the Senate Floor last week (12/23) at 4:40 in the
afternoon. My two college age daughters' reaction was the same as their
father's: What is wrong with this guy at
4:40 in the afternoon? He is so out of it, he is beyond scary.
The YouTube clip says it all:
After watching Senator Baucus'
incoherent, rambling disjointed Senate speech, one wonders if he was drunk with
power or just plain drunk. Certainly it
is an accurate display of how drunk with power are our government leaders.
It becomes evident that if
Obama-Pelosi-Reid and their Democrat gang continue to push the WMHD on the
American public, the first people adversely affected could be the inventors of
the WMHD itself. After all, elections will occur in 2010 and 2012 and their WMHD
health care legislation will not go into effect until 2013. According to a
Rasmussen Poll, 63 percent of the public believe ObamaCare will increase costs
and only 13 percent believe ObamaCare will reduce health care costs.
Best of luck WMHD Democrats, on
holding your majorities in the House and Senate and your occupation of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
