STANDING UP TO CHINA

Singapore.  Let's first talk about money, the Chicoms and ours.  We have heroes of humanity pictured, like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Benjamin Franklin.  On every denomination of theirs, they picture the greatest mass murderer (as listed in Guinness) in human history.

chicom_yuan.jpg

Mao was a monster like Stalin and Hitler who laughed his way through the deaths of tens of millions from his man-made famines, being tortured to death in his  Laogai - the Chinese Gulag in which millions languish to this day - or shot like this peasant woman for being "counter-revolutionary":

chicom_murder.jpg

Stare hard at this picture.  This happened to countless Chinese.  This is the image that should come to all of our minds whenever we hear any story or news item about Red China.  For it's still Red, and always will be until it removes the most evil human being who ever lived off its money - and apologizes to the world for his existence.

Which is why China's truculent demand that Japan apologize for seizing a Chinese fishing boat and arresting its captain for poaching in Japanese waters, after the boat rammed a Japanese Navy patrol vessel is so ludicrous - yet no laughing matter to all of China's neighbors.

THE AMERICAN OPTION

The stimulus bill that is being championed by Mr. Obama, which was passed by Democrats in the House last Wednesday (1/28), is the worst piece of economic legislation Congress has considered in a hundred years.

Not since the passage in 1909 of the 16th Amendment--which cleared the way for a federal income tax--has the United States seriously entertained a policy so comprehensively hostile to economic freedom, or so arrogantly indifferent to economic reality.

This bill is not a stimulus, ladies and gentlemen; it is a mugging. It is a fraud. Conservatives who fear proponents of this bill want to inch our economy closer to European-style socialism are kidding themselves. The proponents of this bill want to strap a big rocket on the back of our economy and launch it all the way to Brussels!

This massive spending bill is fatally flawed. It will not rescue our economy; it will strangle it. That is why this bill must be stopped dead in its tracks. It cannot be fixed in the Senate by adding a few tax cuts or taking away a little spending. It must be scrapped entirely.

CREDENCE IN GAZA

With apologies to John Fogerty and Credence Clearwater Revival:

I see the bad Palestinian moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightning.
I see bad Gaza times today.

Don't go around in Gaza tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad Palestinian moon on the rise.

THE PETRAEUS ESPIONAGE FILE

I may have awakened him.  The late James Jesus Angleton, once the chief of CIA counterintelligence, sounded kinda groggy to me after I got him-loud and clear!-on my famously untrustworthy ouija board.  Of course I have no idea whether he gets to sleep at all.  I don't quite know exactly "where" he is, after all, and he doesn't answer direct questions on the subject.  Anyway, there he was, and I started right in.

ML:  So what am I supposed to think about Petraeus?

JJA:  That you're living in a country where espionage is rampant.

ML:  Huh?

JJA:  Have you read those stories about the "software breakdowns" in the Romney get-out-the-vote program "Orca"?

ML:  Sure, it didn't work, passwords didn't work, it was a gigantic snafu.

JJA:  Uh huh.  And has anyone raised the possibility that the Romney organization was penetrated in order to introduce "fatal errors" in their computers?

HALF-FULL REPORT 01/13/12

We begin with the announcement many of you have been patiently waiting for:  The 12th TTP Rendezvous (RXII) will be in California on Memorial Day weekend, Friday May 25 to Sunday May 26.  Monday the 28th is Memorial Day, which gives everyone a day to either relax or return home at a leisurely pace.

RXII will be The Plan B Rendezvous.  We'll have a few sessions where a speaker talks and folks listen.  But the main focus is for this to be a working rendezvous, discussing what strategies you can avail yourself of to best protect and prepare yourself for an increasingly probable fascist maelstrom.

We all hope for an end to the Zero Presidency this November (actually next January).  Yet we can't bet our farms on this, nor that there won't be extremely severe economic, social, and political problems in the aftermath of its desired demise, due to the inertia of fascism it has built up.

How you and your loved ones surmount those problems is quite likely to depend on how good your Plan B is.  The purpose of The Plan B Rendezvous is to enable you get a Plan B that really works for you.  A number of TTPers have already done this, and they'll be there to teach you how. I'll see you there.

Now here's a  question of the week:  What is Rick Perry's Plan B?  He does have one, you know.

HOW ABOUT DOING COST-BENEFIT FOR REAL, MR. OBAMA?

It is widely recognized that excessive regulation is unnecessarily killing jobs. The question has been what to do about it.

The president is telling us he is trying to do everything possible to create jobs. Members of his administration have acknowledged that regulations that do not meet a cost-benefit test cost jobs - as everyone with a basic understanding of economics realizes.

Yet the cost-benefit studies that are done by these regulatory agencies are little more than jokes, with grossly incomplete and incompetent analyses.  Here's a simple way they can be done for real.  How about it, Mr. President?

PELOSI IN PYONGYANG

nk_map.jpg

Beijing, ChinaA friend of mine and yours just got here after spending a year in North Korea.  Well, actually it was less than two weeks, but it felt like a year.

He's been to well over 200 countries and separate political jurisdictions all over the globe, and he says NorkLand is far - far - away the weirdest place on the planet.  One of the conditions of his going there, however, is that he had to sign an agreement that he couldn't write anything about what he saw.

So I interviewed him, as he isn't prohibited from talking about what he saw.  What follows is his report as told to me, including a raft of pictures he took.  His conclusion:  North Korea is an environmentalist's paradise, the Dream of the Left.  It is Nancy Pelosi's fondest fantasy.  It is where she and her fellow Fascicrats should move to after they are thrown out of power on November 2nd.  North Korea is where they belong.

I HOPE HE FAILS

TTP salutes Rush Limbaugh for having the courage to state what all rational conservatives feel.

I got a request here from a major American print publication.  "Dear Rush:  For the Obama [Immaculate] Inauguration we are asking a handful of very prominent politicians, statesmen, scholars, businessmen, commentators, and economists to write 400 words on their hope for the Obama presidency.  We would love to include you.  If you could send us 400 words on your hope for the Obama presidency, we need it by Monday night, that would be ideal."

Now, we're caught in this trap again.  The premise is, what is your "hope."  My hope, and please understand me when I say this.  I disagree fervently with the people on our side of the aisle who have caved and who say, "Well, I hope he succeeds.  We've got to give him a chance."

Why?  They didn't give Bush a chance in 2000.  Before he was inaugurated the search-and-destroy mission had begun.  I'm not talking about search-and-destroy, but I've been listening to Barack Obama for a year-and-a-half.  I know what his politics are.  I know what his plans are, as he has stated them.  I don't want them to succeed.

So I'm thinking of replying to the guy, "Okay, I'll send you a response, but I don't need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails."

TINY ZIBB UPDATE

Not quite two years ago, in Terrorism and Tiny Zibbs, I discussed why one of the principal causes of Moslem terrorism is that so many Moslem men are afraid of women.

This was made quite evident in a London Daily Telegraph poll of British Moslems conducted last week that stunned the British. 24% of British Moslems, it turns out, are sympathetic with the feelings and motives of the suicide bombers attacking London, and almost one-third believe that: “Western society is decadent and immoral and that Moslems should seek to bring it to an end.”

The outrage this provoked caused most folks to overlook the poll’s internals, which showed that the great majority of those alienated British Moslems are men. Very few British Moslem women want to bring Western society to an end, for that society respects them as full human beings and gives them freedom to act as such.

So all this soul-searching navel-gazing blather in the British liberal press agonizing over the failure of British society to cure Moslem alienation utterly misses the point - as liberals almost unfailingly do. The fault, the blame, the cause of Moslem terrorism, hatred, and alienation lie not with us in the West, but with the cultural defects of Moslems themselves - and specifically of Moslem men.

A LETTER TO MY EUROPEAN FRIENDS

To my European friends:

I see from various polls that very nearly all of you support President Obama's reelection.  The numbers are remarkable, indeed incredible.  More than ninety percent of you would vote Obama (94% of Italians, for example, and the numbers for Great Britain, France, Spain, and Germany are even higher).  Other numbers show that nearly half of you think you should somehow be able to vote in our elections, since American policies have such an enormous effect on you.

All of which reinforces my belief-speaking as the grandson of Russian immigrants who arrived in Harlem and western Massachusetts early in the last century-that the American Revolution was a great thing, and that Americans were right to abandon authoritarian Europe for the possibility of creating a free country across the ocean.

Anyone who truly values liberty has to see that Obama is a threat.  He wants to turn the United States into a version of Europe:  big, meddlesome government, constantly higher levels of taxation, and intrusive regulation of almost everything, combined with a deliberate and systematic weakening of military power and a foreign policy that shrinks from decisive action against freedom's enemies.

That's you, sadly.  So it's understandable that you'd favor Obama (although the numbers - reminiscent of plebiscites rather than normal elections - are ridiculous).  It's yet another sign of the decadence of Europe.

HALF-FULL REPORT 01/06/12

As Jackie Gleason always said at the start of his show, "And awaaaaay we go!" with the first HFR of 2012.

The first week of the year got shot out of the fascist cannon with Zero declaring war on Congress by making four presidential appointments that are egregiously unconstitutional.  Ed Meese, President Reagan's Attorney General, explains why.

The fury of Boehner Congressfolk means nothing to Zero.  As an example of how hopelessly feckless the Pubtards are, Republican Senator Scott Brown (remember how excited we were about him a year ago?) announced his support for Zero's fascism.

Michael Savage is no doubt correct in predicting that Zero's reelection will result in a Hugo Chavez-type banana republic dictatorship, for we are well on our way towards it right now.  The fascist unconstitutional lawlessness of our federal government has built up a monumental amount of inertia, which won't be halted or slowed down merely by Zero's defeat.  It will take an equally monumental effort to reverse its direction.

Which brings us to the pointlessness of Mitt Romney.  Why is he running for president other than to be president?  That's really what's going on, you know.  He wants to live up to his dad.

THREE REQUIREMENTS FOR A CONSTITUTIONAL FIX

Can an amendment to the U.S. Constitution fix the deficit problem?

Polls show most Americans think we need a balanced-budget amendment. Yet serious scholars of the issue understand that the deficit is merely a symptom of the problem, namely, that people want more benefits from government than they wish to pay for.

Various forms of balanced-budget and tax-and-spending-limitation amendments have been proposed. Almost everyone realizes that an amendment must be flexible enough to deal with national emergencies, such as a major war.

But if the amendment is too flexible, politicians will quickly find ways around whatever limitations on spending, taxing and deficits are imposed. And the more tightly drawn any proposed amendment is, the more difficult it will be to pass it because an effective amendment will limit the powers of the very people who are required to vote for it.

As we struggle to try to devise a constitutional fix to the structural problem of destructive debt, spending, regulation and taxation, it would be useful to consider the following.  Call them Rahn's Three Requirements for A Constitutional Fix:

THE CHINESE CONUNDRUM

Urumchi, Xinjiang, China.  Radical fundamentalist Wahhabi Islam is starting to spread through Xinjiang like an infectious disease.  Why the Chicoms are allowing it is a mystery - for they are continually shouting wolf over "Moslem terrorism" in Xinjiang as an excuse to oppress the local people, called Uighurs.

But there is no such thing.  Uighurs are not terrorists because Uighurs have been Sufis for centuries.  (See Islam's Anti-Osama for a discussion of Sufism or the Sufi website Naqshbandi.org.)

Sufism is the peaceful form of Sunni Islam (just as Ismailism is the peaceful form of Shia Islam as we discussed last week in The Pamir Knot).  It promotes a mystical, personal relationship to Allah, rather than performing robotic ceremonies (like praying five times a day with exactly the same words and motions every day, no changes ever) and following rigid rules as do mainstream Sunnis.

Instead of robot rituals, Sufis engage in joyous musical dancing, couples whirling themselves into trances.

Which is why Wahhabis hate Sufis as much as they hate us Christian infidels.  The interesting thing about the Saudi attempt to Wahhabize the Uighurs is that the only recruits are young Uighur guys in the cities and towns.  Not the women, and not much of anyone in the villages, which is where most Uighurs live.

So far, the only women the young Wahhabi guys have been able to persuade to wear the veil are their mothers. Try and tell young Uighur women she's got to hide her face in public and she'll laugh in your face.

What would you expect from a culture that has as its most revered Moslem shrine The Tomb of the Fragrant Concubine?

THE NIGHT WE WAVED GOODBYE TO AMERICA

Anyone would think we had just elected a hip, skinny and youthful replacement for God, with a plan to modernize Heaven and Hell - or that at the very least John Lennon had come back from the dead.

The swooning frenzy over the choice of Barack Obama as President of the United States must be one of the most absurd waves of self-deception and swirling fantasy ever to sweep through an advanced civilization. At least Mandela-worship - its nearest equivalent - is focused on a man who actually did something.

I really don't see how the Obama devotees can ever in future mock the Moonies, the Scientologists or people who claim to have been abducted in flying saucers. This is a cult like the one which grew up around Princess Diana, bereft of reason and hostile to facts.

REAL LOCKBOX BECOMING REALITY

Four months ago, on March 16, I told you about The Real Lockbox - a real fix of Social Security being devised by Republicans in Congress, superior to President Bush’s and designed to drive Democrats up a defensive tree. I then promised I would update you on its progress - and now I can report it is fast becoming legislative reality.
