KEEPING YOUR SANITY XXII

(Photo ©Tex Manchester)

You’re looking at something that’s absolutely astounding.  It’s not a cloud or patch of fog in the night sky.  Let me tell you what it is.

What it is, is astounding enough.  But just why it’s absolutely so – well, let’s walk through the what of it first, then we’ll get there, for it’s a great way to keep your sanity.

THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH OF MASKS AND SOCIAL ISOLATION

symbol-of-tyrannyThere’s no better way to destroy a country than to turn its citizens into faceless nameless automatons fearful of doing or saying the wrong thing.  Dress them all the same, take away their individuality.

It worked for Mao and Stalin and Pol Pot and legions of dictators since the beginning of time.  They knew that if you could condition people to depend upon the state and state-run media for the approved party line, if you could convince them to believe only state-approved ideas, they would be putty in your hands.

Now, after decades of trying, the Democrats have figured out how to this to millions of Americans.

NO MORE FAUCIS: WE NEED TERM LIMITS FOR BUREAUCRATS

fauci-mask-offTerm limits for politicians has been a popular idea with conservatives, libertarians and even some liberals and progressives (though fewer these days) for some time.

But more important, I would argue, are term limits for the government bureaucracy.  At least politicians can be voted out. Unelected bureaucrats go on and on and on and, in many ways, end up running our lives.

All the while, the bureaucracy, aka the Deep State, has been reaching new heights (or lows), in essence taking over the country, as for example, with Dr. Anthony Fauci.

“PEOPLE ARE DYING,” PSAKI SAYS

psakiDying from what? you may ask.  From "misinformation," which means only information they don't want you to access, information that might be the actual truth and conflict with the administration's fear-mongering agenda.

Psaki actually bragged in her White House press conference that the administration is "working with" social media — Facebook — to censor such misinformation.

We should all be very afraid, for they are coming for us.  Indeed, they are.  As Psaki inadvertently revealed, they have a list, and it is likely that all those who love this nation and fear this administration's rapid shift to Communism are on it.

CHINA’S FEET OF CLAY

clay-feetRecently China has sought to ramp up its now accustomed bullying and intimidation of the Western world, still reeling from a Chinese-born coronavirus.  Yet its new global badgering is as much predicated on its potential as it is on its actual power, at least in classical terms of a global hegemon.

Indeed, it is uncanny how closely China and the US resemble the relative global status of, and relationships between, Imperial Japan and America circa 1938-40. As now, the first Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere was a thin veneer masking Japanese inherent weakness: constitutional weakness, fuel and food weakness, economic weakness, strategic and military weakness.

So here’s why Communist China has feet of clay.

North America 140,000 years ago – and tomorrow?
North America 140,000 years ago – and tomorrow?

Baby, it’s going to be cold outside!  I have studied the peer reviewed papers on this subject (the dual dynamo theory of the sun), and the match between theory and measurements is amazingly good, going back a couple of million years.  Unlike CO2-based climate models, this theory fits the Maunder and Dalton minima cold periods superbly.

The Sun is the 800 pound gorilla in the climate room, not CO2 - which is why Earth was warmer in 2500 BC than it is now.  (It sure wasn't all those gasoline powered chariots in Ur...)

Climate Scientist Warns ‘Next 20-30 Years Will Be Cold’

And the Chinese Communist Party has weaponized climate change in their war on everybody else:

FLASHBACK FRIDAY: THE TOMB OF CYRUS THE GREAT

jw-cyrus-the-great-tombIn the vast valley of Pasargadae there stands this simple tomb with nothing around it for miles and miles. It has been like this for many centuries, for it entombs the founder of Persia, Cyrus the Great (600-530BC). Revered as the liberator of the Jews from their Babylonian captivity in 539 BC, hailed by Herodotus for his humanity and wisdom, this small structure symbolizes the humility of an extraordinary man. Yet the tomb is a structure of engineering genius, the oldest built on principles of base-isolation withstanding the countless earthquakes Persia has suffered for the last 2500 years.

I was first here in 1973 when Persia (renamed Iran in 1933) flourished under the Shah. Here I am in 2014, when everyone I met expressed admiration for America and their contempt for the mullah tyranny they endured. I hope to return once more when the Land of Cyrus will be free again. BURMA’S SACRED GOLDEN ROCK

golden-rockSome three hours’ drive east of Rangoon brings you to Mount Kyaiktiyo, at the top of which (3,600ft) is a gigantic granite boulder covered in gold leaf perched on the edge about to fall off. But it never does, held in place, legend says, by a strand of the Buddha’s hair put underneath it 2,500 years ago. Ever since, the Golden Rock has been a sacred pilgrimage site for the Burmese people and Buddhists around the world.

There are very few people here other than pilgrims, who devoutly pray, circumambulate the rock, and reverently place small strips of gold leaf upon it. It’s a marvelous experience to be among them. I’ll be here again in January of ’22 – you might consider joining me. (Glimpses of Our Breathtaking World #112 photo ©Jack Wheeler)

THE LEG ROWERS OF INLE LAKE

intha-peopleThe men of the Intha people living on Inle Lake in Burma have a unique way to fish. Using their large conical nets, they row by standing on one leg on the prow of their canoe, and paddle with their other leg. They feed their families this way. Burma (Myanmar) is one of the most picturesque, historical, and serene places on earth. We’ll be there again next February. (Glimpses of Our Breathtaking World #27 photo ©Jack Wheeler)

DARK HEDGES

dark-hedgesYou’ve seen this spooky place called King’s Road in HBO’s The Games of Thrones – but where is it and what is it really? It’s in Country Antrim in Northern Ireland near the town of Armoy. Originally it was the driveway to a mansion built in 1775 by James Stuart, descendant of King James I of England (1566-1625), who lined either side with beech trees. Now almost 250 years old, their branches intertwine eerily, giving rise to its name of “Dark Hedges,” and legends of ghosts haunting it like the “Grey Lady.”

Northern Ireland has had its terrible Troubles as we all know, but that’s history now. It’s a place of stunning scenery and natural wonders like the Devil’s Causeway and Marble Arch Caves, and those man-made in addition to Dark Hedges, such as Dunluce Castle and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Then there’s the Victorian opulence of the Crown Liquor Saloon in Belfast. All in all, Northern Ireland is a marvelous place to visit. (Glimpses of Our Breathtaking World #43 photo ©Jack Wheeler)

LUANGWA LAGOON SUNSET

luangwa-lagoon-sunsetIt’s hard to find a better example of the glory of nature than here – a lagoon off the Luangwa River in Africa’s Zambia.  It’s also hard to believe I took this picture just a few days ago – and now I’m back home, and Africa so far away.

It was so fulfilling, so rewarding for me, over the past weeks, to provide a life-memorable experience of real Africa to eight TTPers – they’ll never forget it ever.  I’ll be here again in July of next year – perhaps you’ll be with me.  There’s a primordial magic in Africa that grips your soul like nowhere else.  The wisdom of those most familiar with the world is: “If you can visit only two continents in your life, go to Africa – twice.” (Glimpses of Our Breathtaking World #145 Photo ©Jack Wheeler)

HALF-FULL REPORT 07/23/21

empty-cnn-townhallEreyesterday, Wednesday July 21, CNN held a townhall in Cincinnati, Ohio for a man who claims he got 80 million votes last November.  CNN did everything it could to disguise the fact that the hall was mostly empty.

Jennifer Epstein, the White House correspondent for Bloomberg News, tweeted her photo above to reveal the reality – in response to CNN pretending otherwise.  Much fun has been made of Dementia Zhou’s word salad gibberish and his train wreck townhall.

But this is no time for ridicule, for what characterized this event was its despotic dishonesty. So now we get serious, as we explore to what extent the Xiden Regime, along with that of many other countries such as France and Australia are committing actual real crimes, Crimes Against Humanity, for which their leaders could or should be imprisoned.

KEEPING YOUR SANITY XXI

You can be young at heart in your 80s and old at heart in your 20s.  One of the greatest crimes the Left perpetrates upon humanity is to destroy the joy, optimism, and enthusiasm that comes naturally to the young people of America.

The Left fills them with hate, anger, despondency, hopelessness, embarrassment and guilt for their country -- and personal existence if they are white.  The result is so many young Americans are old – scared, timid, cynical, apathetic, pessimistic, and joyless.  Anyone who inculcates this in America’s children, teenagers, and young adults are enemies of mankind and should be treated as such.

But how about you?  How much of your soul is filled with joie de vie, the joy of life, the ecstasy and thrill of being alive?  Making sure it is could hardly be a better way of keeping your sanity.
