That’s the question of the week, isn’t it? “Important for whom?” is the follow-up question. It’s critically important for the Pub Elite because “We’ll control the rubble,” as I wrote about on Wednesday (10/12).
But is it important for the rest of us? The Pubs will say it is, so their majorities in Congress will block her lawlessness and Scotus appointments. The riposte is, you didn’t stand up to Zero for 8 years, so how can we possibly believe you’ll stand up to her?
We are now 25 days away from knowing whether America has a future or not. Right now it’s looking like the latter.
The entirety of the corporate media has abandoned the slightest pretense of any objectivity whatever and is waging an all-out war of Trump, with every lie, smear, and distortion they can dream up.
“There is nothing the political establishment will not do — no lie that they won’t tell, to hold their prestige and power at your expense,” said Trump yesterday (10/13). Their pathological perfidy is directed at him because, “our campaign represents a true existential threat like they haven’t seen before.”
“This is our moment of reckoning as a society and as a civilization itself.” Trump said that last night, and he is right.
Tirana, Albania. Welcome to the most pro-American country in the world. From groups of young college kids to now-elderly former political prisoners of Communist dictator Enver Hoxha, you won’t find a country that loves America more.
To Albanians, America is the world’s beacon of hope, the nation that epitomizes freedom from tyranny. We Americans, under “the great Ronald Reagan,” are the people that won the Cold War, who liberated them and so many others from the curse of the Soviet Union.
Which is why they are puzzled and scared today that the man who represents America to Albania, Ambassador Donald Lu, is completely in bed with the criminal gang that currently runs the government of their country.
Yesterday (10/11), The Hill (the newspaper of record for Capitol Hill in Washington) ran a story detailing how Prime Minister Edi Rama and his Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri are in effect business partners with gangsters and ISIS terrorists who have turned Albania into Europe’s greatest drug haven.
There is no more rule of law in Albania today because Rama has used hundreds of millions of drug dollars to put police chiefs, customs inspectors, judges, and a myriad of politicians and other officials on his payroll. And of course journalists, making the Albanian Enemedia his poodle.
Albanians are losing hope for their future. The one hope they are clinging to right now is that Donald Trump will be our next president. “He is a strong man, not a weak man like Obama,” I was told over and again. “We do not trust Mrs. Clinton to be any different than Obama, while we are sure that Mr. Trump will be Obama’s opposite.”
Unspoken was their deepest fear – that a Hillary Presidency will be a criminally corrupt conspiracy that will end the rule of law in America as it has been ended in Albania.
And with the extinguishing of America as the world’s beacon of hope, what chance do the small powerless countries of the world have?
Indeed, what chance do we in America have?
This is why Republicans in Congress abandoning Trump for locker room talk 11 years ago is so monumentally cowardly and stupid it is they who should quit their races for elective office, not Trump. Then again, what they’re doing could be far worse than just cowardice.

In 26 days, we are going to win this great, great state and we are going to win the White House.
Our movement is about replacing a failed and corrupt — now, when I say “corrupt,” I’m talking about totally corrupt — political establishment, with a new government controlled by you, the American people.
There is nothing the political establishment will not do — no lie that they won’t tell, to hold their prestige and power at your expense. And that’s what’s been happening.
The Washington establishment and the financial and media corporations that fund it exist for only one reason: to protect and enrich itself.
The establishment has trillions of dollars at stake in this election. For those who control the levers of power in Washington, and for the global special interests, our campaign represents a true existential threat like they haven’t seen before.
This is not simply another four-year election. This is a crossroads in the history of our civilization that will determine whether or not we the people reclaim control over our government.
There are fewer than 30 days to go before the US presidential election.
It is a campaign which mirrors many of the arguments and conflicts that we have seen recently in British politics, especially during the recent Brexit referendum campaign. Essentially, this election is about continuity versus change, with huge doses of personal vitriol thrown in.
When I arrived at the Republican Party convention in Cleveland, Ohio back in July, I was amazed at the reaction to me over the Brexit result.
One thing is for certain: our successful Brexit referendum is being talked about the world over and it may well be the first kick-back against the status quo that leads to a popular revolt across the West.
Like him or loathe him, Trump is not a part of the political elite and he most certainly is not constrained by political correctness. This is why he is the leader of this popular revolt in America.
In fact, I believe we are witnessing a popular uprising against failed politics on a global scale – and that if Trump wins in November, he will be the leader of it not just in the US but world-wide.
In this disgusting election, dominated by the personal and the petty, the importance of the nation’s economic geography has been widely ignored.
Yet if you look at the Electoral College map, the correlation between politics and economics is quite stark, with one economy tilting decisively toward Trump and more generally to Republicans, the other toward Hillary Clinton and her Democrat allies.
This reflects an increasingly stark conflict between two very different American economies.
Ephemeral vs. Heartland
One, the “Ephemeral Zone” concentrated on the coasts, runs largely on digits and images, the movement of software, media and financial transactions. It produces increasingly little in the way of food, fiber, energy and fewer and fewer manufactured goods.
The Ephemeral sectors dominate ultra-blue states such as New York, California, Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Connecticut.
The other America constitutes, as economic historian Michael Lind notes in a forthcoming paper for the Center for Opportunity Urbanism, the “New Heartland.” Extending from the Appalachians to the Rockies, this heartland economy relies on tangible goods production.
It now encompasses both the traditional Midwest manufacturing regions, and the new industrial areas of Texas, the Southeast and the Intermountain West.
Contrary to the notions of the Ephemerals, the New Heartland is not populated by Neanderthals. This region employs much of the nation’s engineering talent, but does so in conjunction with the creation of real goods rather than clicks.
Were you shocked when you heard Donald Trump’s lewd comments?
Or are you more shocked that Obamacare was and is a massive fraud on the American people? That Medicare, even according to the government’s own auditors, averages well over $60 billion year after year in fraudulent payments and mistakes — yet is never cleaned up?
That the levels of taxation, regulation and spending are killing economic growth, resulting in fewer jobs at lower wages? That the Department of Justice, some of the courts, parts of the FBI, and other law enforcement and regulatory agencies are increasingly being corrupted — which, if not reversed, will cause the end of the American republic?
While these real problems can kill us, the news media is consumed with Mr. Trump engaging in private locker-room talk.
October 12 is for celebrating the 524th anniversary of Columbus’ discovery of America, for on that day in 1492, the Great Admiral landed on Guanahani (now known as San Salvador or Watlings) island in the Bahamas.
We commemorate this as a true discovery in contrast to all the claims of Vikings, Chinese, Irish, and others who supposedly came earlier – for once and only after Columbus discovered America, it stayed discovered.
Unfortunately, Columbus Day is for most Americans just an excuse for a three-day weekend – which is why it’s a holiday today, Monday October 10.
What it should be is a commemoration and celebration of Western Civilization – which is why the Left hates Columbus and his holiday.
So there will be the usual spectacle of American Indians using the holiday to denounce the White Man and his genocidal war-mongering culture-destroying earth-murdering imperialism, blah blah blah – with White Liberals joining in, masochistically condemning their own civilization.
If it’s your misfortune to run into any of these folk bemoaning the nightmare and tragedy of our coming here, you might suggest to them that they abandon every vestige of the civilization they hate as so evil.
The greatest put-down in the history of presidential debates
Last night, at the lowest point in the second presidential debate Hillary Clinton tried to blame her compulsive lying on Abraham Lincoln. Not the real Lincoln, but the fictional version depicted in the Spielberg movie.
“She lied. Now she's blaming the lie on the late great Abraham Lincoln,” Trump said in exasperation. “Honest Abe never lied.”
The only thing Hillary and Lincoln have in common is Illinois.
It’s not just that Hillary is a liar and a crook. Plenty of politicians are. It’s that her dishonesty and corruption are so blatant as to be insulting to the intelligence of even the dimmest voter.
There she was stumbling around on stage, haggard and still laughing her horrifying brittle laugh and reciting canned applause lines in the hope that someone would cheer.
And to complete the pairing, Martha Raddatz was there as her doppelganger, berating Trump the way that Hillary would have liked to if she weren’t still delusional enough to think someone out there might still be fooled by her current act.
Jail is where Hillary belongs.

The threat of Islamofascism – whether in the form of murderous terrorism by such groups as ISIS, the acquisition of nuclear weapons by the Mullahs of Iran, or invasion of Moslem “refugees” orchestrated to Islamize the West by Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan – has become one of the gravest national security threats to Western Civilization.
Islamofascism is a barbaric ideology, motivated by a fear of the modern world and a desire to return to the medieval Dark Ages of the 7th century. Ultimately, defeating Islamofascism cannot be imposed upon Islam from without. The solution to Islamofascism or “Radical Islam” must be a competing ideology replacing it within Islam itself.
Thus it is argued that what Islam requires today is a Reformation with an Islamic Martin Luther. This is the absolute last thing Islam needs now, the triumph of faith over reason with resultant bloodshed and sectarian slaughter lasting over a century (ca. 1520-1648) and costing the lives of millions.
That horror was the Reformation. What Islam needs instead is an Enlightenment.
It turns out there is a term in Arabic for enlightenment, for analysis and interpretation through reason, that has an honorable tradition in Islamic jurisprudence and thought. Get to know the word, for it is the salvation of Islam: Ijtihad.
Last Tuesday (9/27), I visited Maassluis. It is town near Rotterdam, where the indigenous Dutch inhabitants have become the victims of immigrant youths of Moroccan descent.
Cars have been demolished, houses vandalized, people threatened. The Dutch no longer feel free and safe in their own city. When the local radio station interviewed some of the victims and referred to the perpetrators as Moroccans, it received an anonymous letter: “You are racists! Your time will come! I won’t take care of it because I am too old. But our boys are the new soldiers.”
Maassluis. It is just one of the many Dutch towns and neighborhoods terrorized by Moroccan or Turkish youth gangs. Others are Schilderswijk, Oosterwei, Kanaleneiland, Zaandam, Helmond… Not surprisingly, a poll shows that 43% of the Dutch people want fewer Moroccan immigrants in our country. These people are not racists; they are decent people, patriots who love their country and do not want to lose it.
The great Ronald Reagan once said that “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” These wise words are more true today than ever before. We are the free men and women of the West.
Freedom is our birthright. But if we fail to defend it, we are bound to lose it. And, sadly, that is exactly what is happening today.
Keith Lamont Scott was scum.
He had been convicted of assault with a deadly weapon in two different states and convicted of assault in three states. He had been hit with “assault with intent to kill” charges in the 90s. His record of virtue included “assault on a child under 12” and “assault on a female.”
The media spin; “Family and neighbors call Scott a quiet ‘family man’.”
This vicious monster’s career of crime ended when he was shot by Brentley Vinson, an African-American police officer, protecting himself from the latest rampage by this “quiet family man.”
Brentley Vinson is everything that Scott isn’t. The son of a police officer, Brentley dreamed of following in his father’s footsteps. He used to organize his football team’s bible studies and mentored younger players. His former coach calls him a “natural leader” and says that, “We need more Brent Vinsons… in our communities.”
Except that Obama, Black Lives Matter, the media, the NAACP and everyone else going after this bright and decent African-American officer has decided that what we really need are more Keith Lamont Scotts, not Brentley Vinsons.
James Lovelock, inventor of Gaia Theory and godfather of the modern environmental movement, has finally renounced the green religion.
Climate alarmism, he says, is not “remotely scientific”; one volcano could make more difference to global warming than humans ever could; the computer models are “unreliable”; greens have behaved “deplorably”; and anyone who tries to “predict more than five to ten years is a bit of an idiot.”
Though this is not the first time Lovelock has rowed back on his earlier climate catastrophism – in 2012 he was already admitting “I made a mistake” – it’s his most emphatic rejection yet of the green litany.
Lovelock ascribes the dramatic change in his once fervently alarmist beliefs to the fact that he has “grown up.”
Only ten years ago – when the inventor, scientist and environmentalist was a mere spring chicken of 87 – Lovelock argued in his book The Revenge of Gaia that mankind was doomed.
Not any more. What’s doomed are the computer models on which the religion of climate change are based: “It’s only got to take one sizable volcano to erupt and all the models, everything else, is right off the board.”
