2012 CAN’T COME SOON ENOUGH

Is it really any surprise that oil and gas prices are surging toward the record highs we saw in 2008 just prior to the economic collapse?

Despite the President's strange assertions in his press conference last week (3/11), his Administration is not a passive observer to the trends that have inflated oil prices to dangerous levels. His war on domestic oil and gas exploration and production has caused us pain at the pump, endangered our already sluggish economic recovery, and threatened our national security.

The evidence of the President's anti-drilling mentality and his culpability in the high gas prices hurting Americans is there for all to see. The following is not even an exhaustive list:

SECRET SERVICE INSIGHTS

What follows is an unedited interview with a recently retired member of the Secret Service who was assigned to guard the lives of several US Presidents and their families, regarding how he and his colleagues were and are being treated by Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Laura Bush, and President Bush ---JW

PHM: THE NEXT INSANITY

My friend Tony Perkins, who capably runs the Family Research Council, has been issuing dire warnings in the wake of Massachusetts’ outlaw Supreme Court creating an alleged right for homosexuals to marry out of constitutional thin air.

“Senator (Rick) Santorum (R-PA) was right when he predicted that demands to legalize polygamy would come in the wake of homosexual marriage,” Tony says. “What argument could the Massachusetts Supreme Court offer today against legalizing polygamy?”

Tony is right, but more right than he knows. For the loudest demands to legalize polygamy will not come from heterosexuals -- it will come from homosexuals. Get ready for it, folks. The next cultural insanity will be a movement to legalize Polygamous Homosexual Marriage: PHM.

THE PALE SHADOW OF OBAMA IN AFRICA

[Today, 7/01, President Zero continues his $100 million African vacation with a visit to Tanzania.  He is not going to, nor has he ever been to as president, the country of his alleged father - Kenya.  In response, this essay was published today in Kenya's most widely read newspaper, the Daily Nation, by Kenya's most prominent attorney and legal scholar.-JW]

President Barack Obama's visit to three countries in Africa has failed to excite, annoy or even disappoint. In fact, it is slowly passing out as a non-event.

President Obama is not Candidate Obama of five years ago. He is a pale shadow of the man who mesmerized the world with his oratorical skills, inspirational speeches and wide smiles. He is a limping version of the giant of a man who swept the world with his moving speeches, deep thinking and a great promise of a better tomorrow.

President Obama is not the man the American people gambled their fate with. Five years after his first election, Obama has shrunk so much in stature that he is barely recognizable in the global stage were it not for his black skin.

So how does one explain the dramatic metamorphosis of the giant into a dwarf in such a short time?

HALF-FULL REPORT 11/23/12

It's Un-American not be woozy today, recovering from too much turkey, the fixins, and adult beverages at yesterday's Thanksgiving dinner.  So let's relax and enjoy the troubles the leaders of other countries are having this week.  Hopefully, they may portend those of ours.

Who does this describe?  "A false, cold-hearted, calculating spirit who commits evil without passion and slowly orchestrates despotism with all the intelligence of a Machiavelli."

It fits Zero like a glove because it's the quintessential description of a Banana Republic Caudillo - the charismatic corrupt dictator or "strongman" whom "the masses" love for his professed love of them while he strangles their freedom and any chance for prosperity.

Yet Argentina is today falling rapidly out of love with its Caudillo -- actually Caudilla -- as Egypt is with its new Pharaoh.  Our Caudillo, our Pharaoh, may not be far behind.

CONGRESS MUST DEFUND THE GLOBAL TAX CARTEL

The Constitution gives Congress the exclusive right to tax Americans at the federal level. Yet Congress continues to give away this most fundamental responsibility to international organizations, the most dangerous of which is the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Most Americans probably would not approve of their tax dollars being used to support an international organization that undermines their fundamental liberties and promotes giving their hard-earned money to other governments, often run by corrupt or dictatorial regimes. This is precisely what the OECD is doing, with the blessing of the majority members of Congress.

The OECD has just released a report bragging about its "progress" in getting countries to engage in automatic sharing of tax information.  Entitled "Tool Kit for Automatic Exchange of Information," it states:

"The automatic exchange of information involves the systematic and periodic transmission of 'bulk' taxpayer information by the source country to the residence country concerning various categories of income (e.g., dividends, interest, royalties, salaries and pensions)."

The Obama administration is actively supporting this effort.

CONSERVATIVES FOR CORPORATE WELFARE

Cutting spending in Congress is so difficult because every area of the budget is defended by an army of special interests and perverse alliances that often defy reason and common sense.

Nowhere is this more evident than with the federal government's ludicrous $6 billion subsidy of ethanol, which I and Sen. Ben Cardin, D-MD, have proposed to eliminate.  This week on March 09, we introduced in the Senate a Bill To Repeal the Volumetric Ethanol Excise Tax Credit.

Within hours on that very day, the senior political columnist for a conservative newspaper, The Washington Examiner, condemned our bill as "Tom Coburn's Tax Hike."  This illustrates why the ethanol subsidy endures despite widespread opposition from the Left and the Right.

On one hand, the Examiner columnist declares, "government support for ethanol is among the most destructive and wasteful giveaways to special interests today."  Yet, on the other hand, he says doing away with the subsidy is a "tax-hike" that would leave money in appropriators' pockets, at which point many Republicans run for the hills.

This analysis is inaccurate and destructive on several levels.

HILLARY’S OCTOBER SURPRISE

There’s the coolest buzz making the rounds in Washington’s power watering holes, and let’s cross every finger we have that it’s true.

To review the bidding, Hillary desperately wants to be POTUS. But if Hanoi John gets elected this November, he will obviously as the incumbent be the candidate in 2008. The earliest she could run would then be 2012, deep in her sixties and possibly ancient history. There is only one conclusion she can reach: Her only shot is to run in 2008 - which requires that George Bush be re-elected and John Kerry defeated in 2004.

You’re familiar with the term “October Surprise.” Right at the last moment, in late October, the parties try to pull a rabbit out of the media hat. The Dems sprung a decades-old DUI bust of GW a week before the election in 2000, the Pogo Press went into a feeding frenzy right on cue, and it almost submarined him on election day.

I wish Barbara Comstock running Oppo Research for the Republicans as much luck as it takes to figure out what dirty trick the Dems will try to spring this time. Yet while I’m sure they have an October Surprise planned - the buzz is that Hillary has one planned herself.

No one knows what it is - but we know four things about it.

WHAT IF CONSERVATIVES BEHAVED LIKE MOSLEMS?

Last month, the student newspaper of Australia's National University, Woroni, was banned from publishing a satire of Islam.  It was clear why school authorities did so:  to avoid, as reported by the Canberra Times, "the potential for violent backlash."

We could go on forever citing examples of people capitulating to Moslem threats of violence.  You'll get death threats for saying Islam is a religion of violence.  It is sickeningly, disgustingly immoral - and true.  Islam really in fact and undeniably is a religion of threats, violence, and murder.

It is an established tradition in Islam that an apostate (a Moslem who renounces Islam and converts to another religion) should and must be put to death in the name of Allah.

Here's what's also true.  The threats work, the violence works.  People are intimidated, from university administrators to politicians to intellectuals to newspaper and magazine editors.  Instead of rising up and beating Moslems issuing threats over their head with a baseball bat, or telling them to STFU and stick their fascist Koran up their nose, they cringe and capitulate.  Violence works.  Threats work.  Intimidation works.

It works so well that it could get conservatives to wondering if it would work for them.

HALF-FULL REPORT 11/16/12

I must admit that I remain in a state of total shock over November 6th.  There is still a part of me that finds the results incomprehensible.  The actual results were within the margin of fraud, so the Dems stole it

At the Rendezvous, we had a world-expert on cyber-intelligence explain how "trivially easy" it is to hack into and rig voting machines.  Plus all the other voter-suppression tricks the Dems use in states with no Voter ID.

What Dems do is whatever it takes to win without any semblance of morals.  What Pubs do is blame each other, whine, and wimp out.  A perfect example is Bret Stephens in the Wall Street Journal on Monday (11/12) being a smart-ass ignorant jerk demanding IQ tests of Pub candidates.

He typifies the growing RINO chorus chanting the GOP must now capitulate on 1) abortion, 2) homosexual marriage, and 3) amnesty for illegals.  Why?  To get elected.  Power as an end in itself, not to politically accomplish something moral.  It is Stephens and his ilk who need to take an IQ test - as demonstrated by the evisceration of his argument for amnesty by Victor Davis Hansen on Tuesday (11/13).

Hansen's The Latino Vote Obsession is a masterpiece, simply a "must-read" this week.  Another masterpiece must-read is this interview with my dear friend Robert Agostinelli.  No one can tell it like it is like Robert.

STOPPING THE SPENDAHOLICS

Tea Party members are going to be very unhappy.

Many of the new members of the House and Senate that the Tea Party helped elect are already becoming part of the political class, as evidenced by their votes for continued farm subsidies, refusals to put reasonable limits on the growth of the food- stamp program, support for unaccountable international organizations, and on and on.

(To see how any Congressman is voting according to conservative principles, consider conservativevotingrecords.com, byThe Madison Project.)

Members of Congress vote for unjustified spending because they think the recipients will reward them with campaign contributions and praise while the majority of the electorate will never notice.  So how do we stymie the spendaholics -- when even Tea Party politicians are getting drunk on spending?

AMERICA CAN NO LONGER AFFORD BARACK OBAMA

Americans are growing impatient with a White House that still just doesn't get it.

The President proves he doesn't understand that the biggest challenge facing our economy is today's runaway debt when he states we want to make sure "we don't get buried under a mountain a debt." That's the problem! We are buried under Mt. McKinley-sized debt.

It's at the heart of what is crippling our economy and taking our jobs. This is the concern that should be on every leader's mind. Our country's future is at stake, and we're rapidly reaching a crisis point. Our government is spending too much, borrowing too much, and growing too much. Debt is stifling our private sector growth, and millions of Americans are desperately looking for work.

So, what was the President's response? At a time when we need quick, decisive, and meaningful action to stop our looming debt crisis, President Obama gave us what politicians have for years: promises that more federal government "investment" (read: more government spending) is the solution.

What he is really promising America is a bullet train to bankruptcy.  Our country can simply no longer afford Barack Obama.

ROPE AND CEMENT

On July 26, The London Telegraph ran the absolutely positively most delicious story I have seen in many an al-ilah (the moon, worshipped by pre-Islamic Arabs, and contracted into allah by Mohammed).

You know that famous quote of Lenin’s epitomizing his contempt for capitalism? “When it comes time to hang the capitalists, they will fight among themselves to sell us the rope.” You wonder what Lenin would say to fellow Marxist Yasser Arafat.

It turns out that Palestinian businessmen with connections to Arafat and other officials in the “Palestinian Authority” are making millions of dollars selling cement to the Israeli Government to build the Security Wall. Is this too beautiful or what?

MAYBE WE WILL NEVER RUN OUT OF NATURAL GAS

Coal, oil and natural gas are "fossil" fuels, right? They are derived from ancient life-forms and are nonrenewable, stored energy, extracted from prehistoric sunlight. In the case of coal and most oil, this is obviously true: You can find fossil tree trunks and leaves in coal seams and chemicals in oil that come from plankton.

But there's increasing doubt about whether all natural gas (which is 90% methane) comes from fermented fossil microbes. Some of it may be made by chemical processes deep within the earth. If so, the implications could be profound for the climate and energy debates.

It may be that we will never run out of natural gas.  There may be a literally inexhaustible supply of it.  Who needs "renewable" energy any more?
