Cajun Navy in action

Cajun Navy in action

We are still a great people. The Cajun Navy and other rescuers during Harvey remind us of that.

But we lack the culture or the politics to reflect that greatness. The noble impulses that lead men to risk their lives in flooding are there. But our society no longer has the vessels to hold and sustain those impulses.

The media doesn't quite know what to make of the rescuers. You can see the itching to return to the stories that it knows and likes. Russia. Trump hit pieces. People punching each other in the street over politics. It swerves at the first sight of a Confederate flag on a rescue boat or Ted Cruz's Sandy vote. It doesn't want to dwell on the best of us. Behavior like that doesn't make sense anymore.

Generations have grown up with leftist protesters as their definition of heroes. Look in a history book and the last 70 years consisted of "heroes" who marched around waving signs until they got everything they wanted. And every day in the news there are more "heroes" marching for illegal aliens, transgender bathrooms, the supremacy of black lives and any other identity politics cause.

But waving a placard to the adulation of the media isn't heroism. Saving lives is.

The nuclear cchina-using-nk-vs-usonfrontation between the US and North Korea entered a critical phase Sunday (9/03) with North Korea’s conduct of an underground test of a thermonuclear bomb.

With North Korea now a direct threat to US cities, the confrontation isn’t about US superpower status in Asia, and the credibility of US deterrence or the capabilities of US military forces in the Pacific. The confrontation is now about the US’s ability to protect the lives of its citizens.

The distinction tells us a number of important things. All of them are alarming.  Which brings us to China.

China has been the main beneficiary of North Korea’s conventional and nuclear aggression and brinksmanship.  This state of affairs was laid bare in a critical way last month.

rep-jim-bridenstineThe next head of NASA is likely to be an ex-Navy fighter pilot turned Republican congressman who believes strongly in space exploration but is skeptical about man-made climate change.

What’s not to like about about Trump’s nomination of Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-Oklahoma) for the job of NASA’s administrator?

Everything, if you’re a liberal.

According to New York Daily News columnist Linda Stasi, Trump just blew the perfect chance to change his “presidency from the chaotic mess of threats, bitterness and bilious paranoia to one of rationality and reasonableness.”

It would be nice to dismiss Ms. Stasi as merely the deranged frothings of a rent-an-opinion, left-wing columnist who has bizarrely chosen to borrow her surname from that of the secret police in former Communist East Germany. Unfortunately, she’s by no means the exception.

Most liberals think as she does.  Indeed, so do quite a few establishment conservatives – like Senator Marco Rubio.

Due to Hurricane Harvey, this has been a terrible week for millions of people in Texas, Louisiana and a growing number of other states. Before we kick off today’s report, let’s pause for a minute and remember them in prayer. Indeed, we should be grateful that we have a President who today declared a National Day of Prayer for Harvey victims this Sunday. I hope you will participate, then and now.

In our “news you never thought you’d hear” category, though in typical leftist “never let a crisis go to waste” fashion, Democrat groups are attacking the Red Cross today.

Count Michelle Tremillo our HFR Villain of the Week.

Hurricane Harvey has been especially vexing to the Enemedia and to Democrats (but I repeat myself) because the Federal response has been so effective. Indeed, most Americans give FEMA high marks, up from just 29% in 2008, three years after Katrina.

So what’s a leftist to do? Attack the First Lady’s shoes.

While the media was reduced to this level of pouting, others on the left announced that Houston was being punished for its sins. As the Wall Street Journal put it...

One last thing before we get to Labor Day. Two other holidays are worthy of note this week, both sufficient to make leftist heads pop (doesn’t everything now?)): VJ Day and Columbus, er, “Indiginous Peoples” Day.

Enjoy your weekend, America. You’ve earned it.

In the Meantime, Here we go with this week's HFR! 🙂

rino-meltdownWhat on earth has happened to the moral and political sensibilities of Paul Ryan, John McCain, Jeff Flake, Jeb Bush, etc.?  All of those RINOs who are attacking President Trump for pardoning Joe Arpaio are simpering, whining traitors to the party they allegedly represent.

They should declare themselves Democrats and be done with the masquerade.

Perhaps they should remind themselves of all the criminals and thugs that President Obama pardoned, or that President Clinton pardoned.

If there was ever anyone who deserved a pardon, along with Scooter Libby, it is Joe Arapio.   This was a no-brainer!  The man has enforced both federal and state laws for his entire career.

Arpaio was found in contempt of court after a Clinton-appointed judge, Susan Bolton,  ordered him to stop enforcing the law, detaining people he suspected (or knew) to be illegal immigrants.  It was the judge who broke the law, not Sheriff Joe, as so many of our activist judges have over the last decade.   They do not want laws that protect our borders enforced.   Such judges are traitors to the nation as well.

Although candidate Donald Trump repeatedly criticized Barack Obama’s Iran nuclear agreement, his administration has twice decided to remain in the deal. It so certified to Congress, most recently in July, as required by law.

Before the second certification, Trump asked repeatedly for alternatives to acquiescing yet again in a policy he clearly abhorred. But no such options were forthcoming, despite “a sharp series of exchanges” between the president and his advisers, as the New York Times and similar press reports characterized it.

Many outside the administration wondered how this was possible: Was Trump in control, or were his advisors?

Defining a compelling rationale to exit Obama’s failed nuclear deal and elaborating a game plan to do so are quite easy. In fact, Steve Bannon asked me in late July to draw up just such a game plan for the president — the option he didn’t have — which I did.

Here it is below. It is only five pages long, but like instant coffee, it can be readily expanded to a comprehensive, hundred-page playbook if the administration were to decide to leave the Iran agreement.

There is no need to wait for the next certification deadline in October. Trump can and should free America from this execrable deal at the earliest opportunity.

I offer the Iran nonpaper now as a public service, since staff changes at the White House have made presenting it to President Trump impossible. Although he was once kind enough to tell me “come in and see me any time,” those days are now over.

If the president is never to see this option, so be it. But let it never be said that the option didn’t exist.

church-of-the-left"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..."

The First Amendment assumes that the proper sphere of government is policies, not values. And so it protects the right of political participation and prohibits a state church that would define values.

The government had the right to decide to go to war with France. It did not have a right to decide what you should believe. Politics extended into the realm of policies, not beliefs.

But as religious belief declined, politics replaced it as the repository of moral and ethical values. This transformation began on the Left. The Left was the least religious in the traditional sense. And the most likely to build up an ideology of secular values with which to displace traditional religious values.

The last century witnessed an extensive effort to scrub religious values out of government. But this effort was matched by an equally comprehensive project to replace them with the Left’s own values. Unlike the wall between church and state, there were few legal safeguards against writing values into legislation if they were irreligious ones. The church was deemed to be the true threat. Not the state.

But the end result looks very much like an establishment of religion. Even in the church sense.

Alexendre Jourge uses evacuates Ethan Colman, 4, from a neighborhood in west Houston inundated by floodwaters from Tropical Storm Harvey on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, in Houston, Texas. (AP Photo/Charlie Riedel)All week some of the very worst people in climate activism have been trying to make political mileage out of Hurricane Harvey.

What all these blowhard charlatans have in common is that they are all talking drivel. They are, as the Trump EPA rightly says, attempting “to politicize an ongoing tragedy.”

For climate alarmists every major weather event – especially ones that cause millions of dollars of damage to property and claim human lives – is never really a disaster or even a crisis but a heaven-sent opportunity to promote their alarmist narrative.

This is what Al Gore has just done in his box office flop An Inconvenient Sequel. He has collected lots of dramatic footage of floods, hurricanes, typhoons and so on and tried to conflate all this photogenic weather disaster porn with man-made climate change.

Meanwhile, here’s a reality check courtesy of actual weather data recorded by proper scientists from the days when scientists did actual science.  Harvey is a natural meteorological event which has nothing whatsoever to do with man-made climate change.

Malcolm X

There are streets, schools and parks across the country named after a violent racist who urged the KKK to murder civil rights activists and claimed that racial integration was a Jewish conspiracy.

There’s a boulevard in Brooklyn named after a racist who admired Hitler and boasted of being the first fascist. Harvard has a prominent institute named after a bigot who defended Nazi bigotry.

New York City, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles all have streets named after a supremacist and nationalist who palled around with Nazis. New York City has a statue of him. Washington D.C. has an art tribute to him. If we are going to take down Confederate memorials, there’s no way he can stay up.

He must fall.

In 1961, Malcolm X introduced George Lincoln Rockwell, the leader of the American Nazi Party, on stage at a Nation of Islam rally. After Rockwell made a donation to the racist black nationalist hate group, Malcom X led a round of applause for the Neo-Nazi leader and called him, “Mr. Rockwell.”

There’s been a recent effort in Bethesda to rename Winston Churchill High School after Malcolm X. How can you rename a school honoring the leader who defeated Nazism after Malcolm, a Nazi collaborator?

global-warming-is-natural[It is quite gratifying that TTP’s “Solar Warming” published ten years ago continues to be proven correct –JW]

Most global warming is natural and even if there had been no Industrial Revolution current global temperatures would be almost exactly the same as they are now, a study has found.

The paper, by Australian scientists John Abbot and Jennifer Marohasy, published in GeoResJ uses the latest big data technique to analyze six 2,000 year-long proxy temperature series from different geographic regions.

“Proxies” are the markers scientists use – tree rings, sediments, pollen, etc – to try assess global temperature trends in the days before the existence of thermometers.

All the evidence suggests that the planet was about a degree warmer during the Medieval Warming Period than it is now; and that there is nothing unnatural or unprecedented about late 20th century and early 21st century “climate change”.

china-debtIn its latest country focus, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) upgraded the growth outlook for Asia’s largest economy to an average of 6.4 percent a year through to 2021, compared to 6 percent previously.

Could this be Pollyannic?  Because the IMF said the faster pace of growth would come at the cost of increased debt.

China’s total non-financial sector debt, including corporate, government and household debt, is expected to reach almost 300 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) by 2022, up from 242 percent in 2016, as Beijing strives to achieve its goal of doubling 2010 real GDP by 2020.

That’s according to the IMF – and it could be far worse than that.  Analysts such as Charlene Chu are saying that

the real bad debt figure in China is up to $6.8 trillion more than official estimates.  And everyone knows not to trust China’s official estimates.

dna-editing Britain has an opportunity to seize on the latest breakthroughs in gene (or DNA) editing and pioneer new approaches in agriculture, research and medicine.

We Brits are well placed to be bold but responsible gene editors. Bolder than continental countries, looking over their shoulder to the disapproving Roman Catholic church; more responsible than China, where decisions on such matters are taken by officials with little consultation with the public; and without the divisive culture battles over moral and legal issues that so often divide the United States on matters of biology.

Twenty years ago, America was relaxed about genetic modification, whereas Britain was easily panicked by the green movement into nonsensical fears of “Frankenstein foods”. Today, it is the other way around.

Hotted up by green campaigners who are aware of “climate fatigue” among their donors, Americans are increasingly torn over GMOs, despite decades of safe and environmentally beneficial experience of growing of them.  Here In Britain, we’re past that,

Jason Kessler, Agent Provocateur?

Jason Kessler, Agent Provocateur?

The ridiculous campaign by virtually every media outlet, every Democrat and far too many squishy Republicans to label Trump some kind of  racist and Nazi sympathizer is beginning to have the stink of an orchestrated smear.

The conflagration in Charlottesville is beginning to feel like a set-up, perhaps weeks or months in the planning.  Planned by whom?  Time may tell.

We know that Michael Signer, the mayor of Charlottesville, declared his city to be the "capital of the resistance" just after Trump's inauguration.  We know that Gov. Terry McAuliffe is a corruptocrat, joined at the hip to the Clintons.  He pardoned sixty-thousand felons in order to ensure his re-election as governor.

We know that the "founder" of Unite The Right, Jason Kessler,  was an activist with Occupy Wall Street and Obama supporter.

What if Signer and McAuliffe, in conjunction with Antifa and other Soros-funded groups like Black Lives Matter, planned and orchestrated what happened in Charlottesville and meant for events to unfold roughly as they did?  What if Kessler was their agent provocateur, a phony who revels in riling up some crazy people for some political purpose?

Lessons Democrats must learn

Lessons Democrats must learn

On July 7, 2016 in Dallas, a Black Nationalist named Micah Xavier Johnson shot and killed 5 police officers at a Black Lives Matter anti-police rally.  He said he wanted “to kill white people, especially white officers.”

Instead of condemning BLM, Barack Obama defended the racist hate group.  The result is today the Left-led Democrats have killed civil rights and replaced it with Black Nationalism. The racial supremacism of Black Nationalism that killed those officers is everywhere.

If Democrats really want to stop the rise of Neo-Nazi violence, there’s a very easy way. Stop normalizing Black Nationalism and the Alt-Left. End the racist witch hunts for white privilege. Make it clear that street violence is unacceptable and that racism is bad no matter who it comes from. Allow people you disagree with to express their views without trying to destroy their lives.

But that’s the opposite of what the Dems will do. They don’t want fewer Neo-Nazis; they want more of them. They don’t want fewer attacks like Charlottesville and Charleston. They want more of them.

google-enemy-of-the-people[This is the full ten-page internal memo to fellow employees attacking Google’s politically correct monoculture, written by Google engineer James Damore – whose facts and assertions were proven excruciatingly correct by Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who fired Damore last night (8/07) for “advancing harmful gender stereotypes.”

TTP encourages you to read it entire.  It outraged Google’s fascist Social Justice Warriors, to whom Pichai instantly succumbed.  The SJW Code of Conduct has three rules:  Always lie, always project, always double down.  All three are evidenced by Google’s firing Damore for brilliantly and courageously speaking truth to power.]

I value diversity and inclusion, am not denying that sexism exists, and don’t endorse using stereotypes.

When addressing the gap in representation in the population, we need to look at population level differences in distributions. If we can’t have an honest discussion about this, then we can never truly solve the problem.

Psychological safety is built on mutual respect and acceptance, but unfortunately our culture of shaming and misrepresentation is disrespectful and unaccepting of anyone outside its echo chamber.

Despite what the public response seems to have been, I’ve gotten many personal messages from fellow Googlers expressing their gratitude for bringing up these very important issues which they agree with but would never have the courage to say or defend because of our shaming culture and the possibility of being fired. This needs to change.

google-is-evil[Intro note from Jack Wheeler: One of the nice things about TTP is the quality of insights I receive from members. After seeing what Google just did to one of its honest employees, TTPer Joe emailed me about living a Google-free life. More important, he and his TTPer friends explained the nature of the Google threat, and how each of us can hurt Google while making our Internet use more pleasant.

I encourage you to leverage their broad technical knowledge by passing these suggestions on to friends. All I ask is that if you do, tell them that it comes from TTP!]

After watching Google fire James Damore for daring to use science to argue with corporate policy, it's hard to disagree with my friend and fellow TTPer Jason, who calls Google "one of the most insidious, evil companies the world has ever known."

Fighting back will involve some political action, but most of the action will be personal. It may seem like it’s hard to live without Google products, but it’s actually quite easy.

I’m going to show you exactly how to do that, while improving your tech life at the same time. We’re also going to talk about how to really hurt Google where it counts.

youre-firedPresident Donald Trump has a defining question before him in the decision on whether to fire National Security Adviser H. R. McMaster and sweep the entire National Security Council clean.

When the Washington Post last Thursday (8/03) published annotated transcripts of President Trump’s Oval Office telephone conversations with the presidents of Mexico and Australia respectively, citing an NSC controlled transcript as the source, inestimable damage was done to the United States’ ability to conduct foreign policy.

No wonder this is being called MOAL – Mother of All Leaks – as it is more damaging than the others by several orders of magnitude:

Our national security and the trust of every other nation in the world has been compromised by criminals operating with security clearances at the NSC and elsewhere in our government.

With the unprecedented, politically motivated leaking occurring under McMaster’s watch, an honorable man would offer his resignation for having failed his duty to the president. And the president should accept it.

mcmasters-nscDerek Harvey was a man who saw things coming. He had warned of Al Qaeda when most chose to ignore it. He had seen the Sunni insurgency rising when most chose to deny it.

The former Army colonel had made his reputation by learning the lay of the land. In Iraq that meant sleeping on mud floors and digging into documents to figure out where the threat was coming from.

It was hard to imagine anyone better qualified to serve as President Trump’s top Middle East adviser at the National Security Council than a man who had been on the ground in Iraq and who had seen it all.

Just like in Iraq, Harvey began digging at the NSC. He came up with a list of Obama holdovers who were leaking to the press. H.R. McMaster, the new head of the NSC, refused to fire any of them.

McMaster had a different list of people he wanted to fire. It was easy to make the list. Harvey was on it.

All you had to do was name Islamic terrorism as the problem and oppose the Iran Deal. If you came in with Flynn, you would be out. If you were loyal to Trump, your days were numbered.

And if you warned about Obama holdovers undermining the new administration, you were a target.  Call it McMasters’ Coup against the President.

Where Judaism and stupid are one too

Where Judaism and stupid are one too

The forests and lakes around Olympia, Washington is one of the most idyllic places in America.  Since 1954, there’s been a wonderful summer camp for Jewish kids – Camp Solomon Schechter – where they can hike, swim, canoe, fish, climb trees and rappel down them, and have an abundance of just plain fun.

Generations of young Jews have grown up with fondest memories of their time here.  That’s why it’s so sad that people are now calling it Camp Stupid.

Last week, the camp hosted a group of children from an Israeli organization Kids4Peace, some of whom are Moslem.  “For a teachable moment,” the camp directors declared, a Palestinian flag would be flown over the camp next to the flags of America and Israel, “as a sign of friendship and acceptance.”

Condemnation was swift, such as the FoxNews headline (7/31), Jewish Summer Camp Hit for Flying The Palestinian Flag in ‘Teachable Moment’.

The “teachable moment” for Jews is that it symbolizes two points:

1. Our desperate need to be loved.

2. It happened at the time when an Islamic preacher in California got caught sermonizing death to all Jews.

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Liu Xiaobo

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Liu Xiaobo

Chinese scholar and author Liu Xiaobo was awarded the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize "for his long and non-violent struggle for fundamental human rights in China.”  He was in prison at the time and not allowed to attend the ceremony in Oslo.  It was his fourth incarceration by the Communists.

It was his last.  He would stay in prison until he died three weeks ago.

As he lay on his deathbed late June, a mysterious video surfaced on YouTube, showing him undergoing medical treatment while in custody and telling medical staff he “greatly appreciated” the care he was given.

While news of his terminal liver cancer was met with shock and disbelief around the globe, China’s state propaganda machine swiftly moved into high gear to make sure its version of the story was dominating public discourse.

The government’s attempt to monopolize the storyline related to Liu’s illness and death is part of a radical change in the way the Chinese government uses the media. Instead of hushing up issues it found embarrassing like in the past, it is now aggressively manipulating the public discourse with Fake News.

the-unipartyThe Republican congressional leadership’s failure to repeal Obamacare has led to suggestions that, perhaps, they should have approached their task through “Regular Order.”

Since Congress has not operated under “Regular Order” at all since 2006, and with decreasing frequency in the decades before that, many may be excused for not knowing what these procedures are. Far from being arcane ephemera, they are the indispensable catalyst that makes American government responsible to the people.

Casting aside “Regular Order” was essential to the rise of the unaccountable administrative state and the near-sovereignty of party leaders, lobbyists, and bureaucrats.

Herewith, a summary of what “Regular Order” means, what purpose it once served, why and how it was shunned, and of what has ensued.  In short, if you want to end Republican-Democrat Uniparty collusion to frustrate what voters want, restore Regular Order.

media-meltdownBetween 2008 and 2016, the media were unapologetic about their adoration of President Barack Obama. Now, they are energized by their thorough loathing of President Donald Trump.

In tragic fashion, the Hubris of deifying Obama has now come full circle to the Nemesis of demonizing Trump. The common denominator of the two extremes is the abandonment of disinterested reporting.

When Obama announced his candidacy for president in 2007, the media relinquished all pretenses of objectivity. Instead, journalists quickly started worshipping candidate Obama in a manner never quite seen before, not even in the days of the iconic liberal presidents like Franklin Delano Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy.

By the time of the 2016 presidential race, the media had fully lost their credibility as disinterested guardians of objective truth. The John Podesta Wikileaks trove revealed that a number of marquee reporters were openly colluding with Clinton to defeat Trump.

Once the media crossed the Rubicon of partisanship, there was no turning back. The unchecked ebullience that they had showed for Obama has now been replaced by an undisguised hatred for Donald Trump. Just as journalists saw no negative repercussions in their adoration of Obama, they are now able to denigrate the conservative populist Trump without consequences.

What caused the media's Trump meltdown? There are a variety reasons.

justice-for-justineThis picture is of people marching in honor of Justine Damond of Australia, shot and killed by a Somali Moslem police officer without cause in Minneapolis on Saturday July 15.

What would justice for Justine truly be?  For the Islamophilic mayor of Minneapolis to the entire nation to recognize that Islamophobia kills.

It is a cherished fiction on the Left that there exists an “Islamophobia Industry,” a well-funded group of propagandists who spread hatred of Moslems solely to line their pockets.  This is as ridiculous as it is libelous, but there really is an Islamophobia Industry, and it is a group of well-funded propagandists.

In reality, however, it is not in the business of spreading “anti-Moslem bigotry.” Instead, it propagates the idea that Moslems in the U.S. are the recipients of widespread discrimination and harassment, and so must be accorded special accommodation and consideration.

That idea has just taken the life of Justine Ruszczyk Damond, a woman from Sydney in the prime of her life at age 40.

hillarygateAccording to an insider account –  Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign by Jonathan Allen, released in April – the Clinton team, put together the Russia Gate narrative within 24 hours of her defeat.

The Clinton account claimed that Russian hacking and election meddling caused her unexpected loss. That her opponent, Donald Trump, was a “puppet” of Putin.

Trump, they said, “encourages espionage against our people.” The scurrilous Trump dossier, prepared by a London opposition research firm, Orbis, and paid for by unidentified Democrat donors, formed a key part of the Clinton narrative: Trump’s sexual and business escapades in Russia had made him a hostage of the Kremlin, ready to do its bidding.

That was Hillary's way to say that Trump is really not President of the United States—a siren call adopted by the Democrat party and media.  So let’s talk about Hillary and the Orbis dossier.

100-jpn-solar-firmsStories like this are popping up all over the world.  Slowly, deliciously, like a leech starved of blood, the renewable energy industry is withering away and dying.

It can only survive through government enforced subsidies or bribe-incentives. Once those dry up, so does its trade. Renewables are, and always have been, a scam perpetrated by the few against the many.

This is a moment for Americans, once again, to savor just how lucky they are to have a President who doesn’t buy into this green nonsense. President Trump understands instinctively that renewables – apart from killing birds on an epic scale – are just rent-seeking with a smiley green face on top.

So, let’s savor the coming Renewmaggedon.

In early June 2017, Russian media reported that yet another Ground Forces missile brigade received the dreaded road-mobile 9K720 Iskander-M missile system (known in Russian military parlance as an “operational-tactical missile system,” or OTRK in short).

The brigade in question is the 29th Army’s newly established 3rd Missile Brigade, based in Russia’s colossal Eastern Military District (MD).

Formed in December 2016, this brigade was initially armed with the aging 9K79-1 Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile system, then quickly re-equipped with the Iskander-M as part of the Russian Defense Ministry’s plan to phase out all Tochka-Us by 2020.

The district’s three other brigades — the 107th, 103rd and 20th — received their Iskander-M OTRKs in 2013, 2015, and 2016, respectively.

As a result, there are presently more Iskander-M brigades in the Eastern MD than any other district; Russia’s other three military districts (Central, Southern, and Western) currently house two Iskander-M brigades each. What, then, is the purpose of these four brigades?

Note the map above.  All four border or are in missile range of China.

[This is the text of President Trump’s Weekly Address on July 7.  Video below]

america-firstMy fellow Americans,

Here at the White House, we are dedicating the month of July to three of our favorite words – MADE IN AMERICA.

For more than two centuries, those three beautiful words have been the world standard for quality, craftsmanship and excellence – and they still are today.

As President, one of my highest priorities is to restore American Manufacturing.

For decades, American jobs have been ripped out of our communities, industries and towns have been stripped bare, and the entire communities have been uprooted and left.  Foreign nations got rich at America’s expense – and many special interests profited from this great global theft of American wealth.

Since taking the oath of office, our government has adopted a new philosophy: AMERICA FIRST – and believe me, it’s about time.  The era of economic surrender is over – and a new national pride is sweeping across our land. You see it, I see it, we all see it.

radical-liberal-terrorReflect on this:

Almost every Trump initiative so far—more energy development, tax reform, deregulation, an end to illegal immigration, luring capital and jobs back into the United States, renegotiating trade deals, realist deterrence abroad, and mockery of political correctness—earns wide public approval.

Every time a MSNBC talking head, a NeverTrump New York pundit, an identity politics functionary, a Hollywood celebrity, a campus Pajama Boy, a Silicon Valley master of the universe, or a Democrat functionary attacks Trump, he ends up sounding either snobbish, hypocritical, or parochial—and thereby energizes the Trump populist message.

Trump is hated not because he is proposing radical new solutions, but because he believes that the last eight years were deviant and not characteristic of the American experiment.

Trump will succeed because his presidency is a return to normalcy.. His haters will fail because they have become rabidly extremist.

Tangier Island

Tangier Island

Tangier Island – America’s “soft crab capital” – is in the middle of Chesapeake Bay, about an hour’s boat ride from the Virginia mainland, rises only a few feet above the waterline and has been slowly eroded by the sea since it was first colonized in the 1600s.

Now its 500 remaining residents are desperate for federal support because it is on the verge of disappearing.

When they asked for support from Donald Trump to help them build a wall – a sea wall, this time, to hold back the eroding waves – the President called them to discuss the situation (6/14).

The story about Trump’s call prompted a barrage of hate from outsiders. Their crime, apparently, was to blame the island’s plight on natural erosion and not rising sea levels caused by man-made climate change.  And voting 87% for Trump.

On April 10, mcorrupt-news-networkedia types were crowing that CNN had brought in Eric Lichtblau who had been, in the Washington Post’s words, at “the forefront of the New York Times’s reporting on the relationship between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia.”

It was “an investment in investigative reporting and the sprawling Russia story”. It didn’t take long for the investigative investment to sprawl badly.

On June 25, Lichtblau resigned from CNN in a growing scandal over a Fake News story about a Trump associate.

"Eric will guide our coverage and thinking," Lex Haris, executive editor of CNN Investigates, had boasted. "And when he’s onto a investigation, he’ll still be reporting and writing too.”

Not for long. For Harris has joined Lichtblau on the unemployment line after the Fake News scandal.

CNN Investigates had been announced after President Trump’s inauguration. Its hit pieces had followed the same pattern as the Scaramucci attack that would be its undoing.

Go after a personality tipped for a job with the new administration. CNN Investigates had previously targeted Monica Crowley and Sheriff Dave Clarke with plagiarism accusations. But this time around, CNN’s anti-Trump unit had made a big mistake.

trump-wrestling-cnnTrump’s self-made video parody that shows him wrestling down CNN has all the self-righteous pundits in an uproar, but it puts the heat where it belongs.

On CNN and the rest of them that round-the-clock give him no peace, no mercy, no fairness, no slack. In return, Trump goes Raw.  Like Truman once did.

Friends in Israel tell me that Trump is not alone. Benjamin Netanyahu, they say, gets the same treatment from the Hebrew press. Most times, even worse.

The same, maybe. Worse, impossible.

On top of that, the obscenities coming from our TV news and talk shows are so violent that there is no choice but to say that we are past media bias and deep into media depravity.

It’s been so non-stop nasty that many of us have stopped reading and watching the coverage. We know what’s coming. We are braced. Trump gets even.  Trump’s revenge.

john-podestaThis morning, the President sent this tweet from Brussels:

trump-tweet-070717As well he should.  For lawmakers failed to seize on an alarming development in the Russia collusion story last week, one that should spark serious and immediate congressional inquiry.

But it didn’t involve President Trump or his administration.

During a heated Fox Business interview with Maria Bartiromo (6/28), Hillary Clinton’s former campaign chief John Podesta made a series of misleading statements when questioned about his involvement in a company that received $35 million from the Russian government while Clinton served as secretary of state.

On Jan. 18, 2011, a small green-energy company named Joule Unlimited announced Podesta’s appointment to its board. Months later, Rusnano, a Kremlin-backed investment fund founded by Vladimir Putin, pumped $35 million into Joule.

That’s just for starters for collusion between Russia and Podesta.

norks-military-force[This is the text of US Ambassador Nikki Haley to the UN Security Council on July 5]

To my friends on the Security Council, I must say that today is a dark day. It is a dark day because yesterday’s (7/04) actions by North Korea made the world a more dangerous place.

Their illegal missile launch was not only dangerous, but reckless and irresponsible. It showed that North Korea does not want to be part of a peaceful world. They have cast a dark shadow of conflict on all nations that strive for peace.

Make no mistake, North Korea’s launch of an ICBM is a clear and sharp military escalation. The North Korean regime openly states that its missiles are intended to deliver nuclear weapons to strike cities in the United States, South Korea, and Japan. And now it has a greater capacity to do so.

In truth, it is not only the United States and our allies that are threatened. North Korea’s destabilizing escalation is a threat to all nations in the region and beyond. Their actions are quickly closing off the possibility of a diplomatic solution.

The United States is prepared to use the full range of our capabilities to defend ourselves and our allies. One of our capabilities lies with our considerable military forces. We will use them if we must, but we prefer not to have to go in that direction.

  1. The Democrat establishment has vortexed the party's narrative energy into hysteria about Russia (a state with a lower GDP than South Korea).

dem-post-election-strategiesIt is starkly obvious that were it not for this hysteria, insurgent narratives of the type promoted by Bernie Sanders would rapidly dominate the party's base and its relationship with the public.

Without the "We didn't lose--Russia won" narrative, the party's elite and those who exist under its patronage would be purged for being electorally incompetent and ideologically passé.  The collapse of the Democrat vote over the last eight years is at every level, city, state, Congressional and now, presidential.

Yet this narrative has reached a dead end – and thus so has the Democrat Party as a political institution.

trump-derangementIf they weren’t trying to destroy the president, Democrats would have to focus on an agenda most Americans don’t support.

By 1968, voters had tired of the failed Great Society of Lyndon Johnson. Four years later, the 1972 Nixon reelection re-emphasized that a doubled-down McGovern liberalism was even less of a viable agenda.

In that context, in 1974, obsessing on Watergate and a demonized Nixon were wise liberal alternatives to running on a positive left-wing vision, given the growing conservative backlash of the 1970s.  After Watergate and the Ford pardon, Jimmy Carter squeaked to a close victory and a one-term presidency — before the country tired of his strident liberalism poorly cloaked in conservative clothing.

Given this historical reminder, the current efforts at Trump character assassination may be the best — or only — progressive pathway back to political power.  Here is why – in excruciating (for Democrats) detail.

sanders-capitalistWhen Bernie Sanders first came to Vermont, he bought a shack with a dirt floor with unemployment money. Last year, Bernie joined the company of Vermont’s 1% and bought his third home.

Nice to have a summer beachfront home on a private island on Lake Champlain, isn’t it?  Along with your other two homes, in Burlington VT and Washington DC. The money that Bernie used his way to break the $1 million mark and buy his way into the 1% came from the $27 donors he touted during his campaign. Other campaigns were funded by billionaires.

But the folks paying for Bernie’s private Delta 767 with its menu of herb crusted lamb loin, chocolate ganache, fine cheeses and white wine were ordinary people who would never be allowed to fly on it.

Yes, last year (April 2016), Bernie chartered a Delta 767 to fly him, his wife, friends, and campaign staff – less than 50 total – to Rome and back. Bernie could live large on their donations, but he couldn’t directly pocket their money. Not unless he figured out how to sell them something of his own. And that’s how Bernie joined the 1%.

survive-treasonA considerable portion of America’s permanent bureaucracy, including elements of its intelligence community, is engaged in an illegal and unconstitutional mutiny against the elected commander-in-chief, President Donald Trump.

Most of the Democrat Party and a fair sampling of the Republican Establishment wants to force Trump out of office, and to this end has undertaken an entrapment scheme to entice the president and his staff into actions which might be construed after the fact as obstruction of justice.

By means yet undisclosed, the mutineers forced Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn from office and now seek to bring down the president for allegedly obstructing an investigation of Gen. Flynn that arose in the first place from the entrapment scheme.

The Trump-Russia collusion story is nonsense, as its disseminators know better than anyone else. The object of the exercise is not to support the innuendo, but to launch an investigation which can provoke the White House into responses that might be construed as illegal.

The intelligence leaks involved in framing the story alone are probably sufficient grounds to put several dozen senior officials in federal prison for double-digit terms. That consideration gauges the scale of the problem: the mutineers have committed multiple felonies, and their downside should the mutiny go wrong is not ignominious retirement but hard time at Leavenworth.

Best Buds – Comey and Mueller

Best Buds – Comey and Mueller

Why Robert Mueller should step down as special counsel or recuse himself from any aspect of the investigation involving James Comey:

*The appointment of Mueller under the special counsel statute is illegitimate. That's because the special counsel statute can only be triggered if there's an underlying criminal probe. News to the world: There ain't no underlying crime.

*The law governing the special counsel (28 CFR 600.7) specifically prohibits Mueller from serving if he has a conflict of interest in the case.  The rule has been interpreted to mean that even the appearance of a conflict is sufficient for disqualification. A conflict of interest is a situation in which an individual has competing interests or loyalties.

*Mueller and fired FBI Director James Comey are best buds. Family vacations, picnics, hours spent at the office, and cocktails after work. As former FBI Assistant Director James Kallstrom says, “Bob Mueller and Jim Comey are the best of friends and have been for over two decades.  It’s a massive conflict of interest.”

The picture of irony?

The picture of irony?

The Left is always condemning “white privilege.”  We need to condemn the Left’s anger privilege.

If you want to know who really has privilege in a society and who doesn’t, follow the anger. There are people in this country who can safely express their anger. And those who can’t. If you’re angry that Trump won, your anger is socially acceptable. If you were angry that Obama won, it wasn’t. James Hodgkinson’s rage was socially acceptable. It continues to be socially acceptable for the Left even when he crossed the line into murder.

If you’re black and angry about the police, your anger is celebrated. If you’re white and angry about the Terror travel ban, the Paris Climate treaty, ObamaCare repeal or any Leftist cause, you’re on the side of the angry angels. But if you’re white and angry that your job is going to China or that you just missed being killed in a Muslim suicide bombing, your anger is unacceptable.
