A CLEAN START

simple-answer[We are pleased to introduce a new column for To The Point, CyberTex by TTPer Tex Manchester.  As one of the world’s top experts in cybersecurity, Tex will informing you on the real secrets of protecting your online privacy.  This is an exclusive for TTPers only.  He says he honored to join us.  We are honored to have you, Tex! –JW]

Fellow TTP’ers,  I am honored and humbled to join Dr. Wheeler and all of the esteemed columnists here in this “Oasis for Rational Conservatives.”  While you’ll see me on the Forum discussing politics, this and future columns will take things in a different direction:

  • How can the layman protect his or herself and their families from the cybersecurity threats facing them each day?
  • With the flood of “advice” online, how can people educate themselves on what these recommendations actually defend you against?
  • And more importantly, what do they not do?
Dr. Wheeler asked me to begin this column based on a series of conversations on cybersecurity that were eye-opening to him as a user of technology.  So, let’s begin with the first of those topics based on a very good question he asked while we were troubleshooting something on his phone:

THE EVIL FARCE

honorable-folks-not And Rat Rosenstein, Songbird, Dem Traitorcrats, the GOPe, the Enemedia, and the entire Deep State?

Just when you think there’s no possible way these morally diseased folks could become crazier than they are already, they dig themselves even deeper into the depths of dementia.

I won’t bore you with repeating their lunatic tweets and public statements over what a traitor Trump is for refusing the bait in the trap they set for him last Friday the 13th.

The ludicrousness  of the trap is brilliantly explained by Andy McCarthy: Mueller’s Politicized Indictment of Twelve Russian Intelligence Officers.

“Make no mistake: This is nakedly politicized law enforcement. There is absolutely no chance any of the Russian officials charged will ever see the inside of an American courtroom. The indictment is a strictly political document by which the special counsel seeks to justify the existence of his superfluous investigation.”
Then Andy spotted the real bombshell of Rosenstein’s announcement of Mueller’s phony indictments:

MUELLER’S COUP HAS FAILED

peter-strzokAmericans got their first good look last week (7/12) at Peter Strzok, the FBI agent at the center of the cover up of Hillary’s email scandal and the plot to frame President Trump led by Robert Mueller.

Sharp questions from Reps. Trey Gowdy, Jim Jordan, John Ratcliffe and Louis Gohmert triggered Strzok, who looked less like a victim of GOP persecution, more like a smug sociopath who tells preposterous lies.

That, and the content of Mueller’s indictments released the next day (7/13), are clear signals that Mueller’s Deep State coup attempt to overthrow an elected government of the United States has failed.  Read on…

THE MEDIA CAN’T ADMIT TRUMP’S SUMMIT WITH PUTIN WAS A SUCCESS

helsinki-2018-w-putin-and-trumpPresident Donald Trump scored a diplomatic win on Monday (7/16) at his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland.

The media, the Democrats, and the Never Trump contingent declared immediately that Trump had failed. But they were bitterly prejudiced against the meeting from the start, to the point where many insisted that Trump cancel it.

To them, looking at the summit through the lens of “collusion,” the summit could only be the ultimate payoff for Putin’s election meddling in 2016.

But viewed through the lens of diplomacy, the summit was a milestone in U.S.-Russia relations.

Judging from their remarks at the press conference that followed, the two leaders touched on every major important area of foreign policy:

WAS RUSSIAN ELECTION MEDDLING TO HELP THE LEFT TAKE OVER THE DEMOCRAT PARTY?

bernie-my-comradeThe Russia conspiracy theory hinges on the single creaky claim that the Democratic National Committee hacks were a Russian plot to elect Trump. The theory and all its illegitimate stepchildren, including Robert Mueller and his infinitely expanding corps of prosecutors, lives or dies by the DNC hacks.

Trying to elect Trump by releasing damaging insider information from the DNC never made any sense. The DNC was already a dysfunctional organization that was being run by the Clinton campaign. Undermining its leadership had little impact on the election, but a great deal on control of the DNC.

When you want to understand the motive of a crime, follow the money. See who benefited from it, not casually, but deeply and significantly enough to justify the effort and risk of undertaking it.

The hacks targeted Clinton allies and sought to undermine their influence within the Democrat Party.  That’s not a plan to help Trump win. It is a plan to take over the DNC.

Let’s look at what the Russians were actually doing during the election.

SEND IN THE MARINE

kevin-nicholson-and-familyMy decision to be a Democrat was never a decision. Born into a family of Democrats, it was just expected of me. It was understood.

I was elected National President of the College Democrats of America in 1999, and now I’m a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate from Wisconsin in 2018.  My campaign slogan is: Send In The Marine.

While my choice was made clear to me through the experience of my marriage, the birth of my three children, my acceptance of Jesus Christ as my savior, my time fighting as a US Marine in two wars, and my experience in business since leaving the Marine Corps, it came at personal cost.

My parents have since turned their back on me, my wife, their grandchildren, and their extended family. Adding to this, they decided to make the maximum contribution to my Democrat opponent in my campaign for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin, an intentional personal blow that made headlines across the country.

It was deliberate – and it is a true representation of the intolerance of a political philosophy that stands on the false platform of tolerance.

ISRAEL AKOSHAV!

shrine-of-jesus-birth
Where Jesus was born, Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem, Israel

Is there a Christian who hasn’t dreamed of being, once in their lives, at the very spot where Jesus was born?

Or laying their hands on the Stone of Anointing, the slab Jesus’s body was laid upon after being taken down from the Cross?

Stone of Anointing – Church of the Holy Sepulcher
Slab of Anointing, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Jerusalem, Israel

Is there a Jew who hasn’t dreamed of praying at the Western Wall?

Western Wall, Temple Mount, Jerusalem, Israel
Western Wall, Temple Mount, Jerusalem, Israel

Israel is called The Holy Land for very good reason. It is the birthplace of the two founding religious traditions of Western Civilization. If you’ve been fortunate enough to have experienced this sacred land, that’s wonderful.

But if you haven’t, you know you have to in your lifetime. That time is nowakoshav in transliterated Hebrew.

It’s now because we are fast running out of time for TTPers to go on Hidden Holy Land II in October (October 8-18). October is when the weather in Israel is perfect with hotels and reservations being taken fast. We have room for only one, possibly two more couples, then we must close it out. No more room at the inn.

It’s now because this is the last time I’ll take TTPers to Israel. I’ve been there at least six times now, I’m turning over Wheeler Expeditions to my sons Brandon and Jackson next year. If you want to go with me to Israel, it’s this October.

It’s now because we have a marvelous group of your fellow TTPers coming. I know them all. We all see the world eye-to-eye. You’ll love being with them (and make lifetime friends).

It’s now because there is no better exploration of the Holy Land than what I've put together. I personally designed our itinerary, there’s nothing else like it. Read Hidden Holy Land II on the TTP left side bar to see for yourself.

It’s now because you know in your bones that your life will feel incomplete if you don’t make The Holy Land a part of your life, and in a deep, rewarding way.

That’s certainly what happened to TTPers on Hidden Holy Land I last April. Here’s what one of them, Mike Cooley, posted on the TTP Forum (6/16):

“I can attest to what an amazing trip this is. If you are considering a trip to the Holy Land, THIS is the one to go on. Why do I say this? The statement that you will go places and see things in the region that other trips do not go near is NOT an exaggeration.

I was a member of the last expedition, and I had stayed an extra night in Tel Aviv. While there, I met and told some local Israelis about the trip that I had just completed, and they were ASTONISHED to hear that I had been to Hebron, the Golan Heights, I walked through knee deep water in hand-carved tunnels underneath Jerusalem that are over 2,000 years old, and the list rolls on.

The lodging, food, and local expert guides were all outstanding. THIS is a tour that takes you places few other tours, and a great many Israeli residents, seldom make it to.”

It’s now because as they say in Israel, vam la 'akoshav, ayemtey? If not now, when?

So click here for the details on The Hidden Holy Land II. Now. I’ll see you in Jerusalem. Israel now! L’Chaim!

HALF-FULL REPORT 07/13/18

Welcome to the Friday the 13th HFR.  It’s a good day for Democrats to be Friggatriskaidekaphobics.  Strzok the Smirking Schmuck is now the face of the Democrat Deep State attempting a coup to overthrow the duly elected government of the United States.

In the hearing yesterday (7/12), Democrats completely disgraced themselves.  Constantly interrupting and being obnoxious as possible, talking about “separated children,” student debt, even Puerto Rico, they defended Strzok’s treason repeatedly, with one of them – Demtard Steve Cohen – stating that Strzok deserved a Purple Heart for enduring the hearing.

At the end of the hearing, House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte told Strzok he will be held in Contempt of Congress for refusing to answer legitimate questions.

Once Goodlatte does, expect to hear a lot about something called “Inherent Contempt.”  It hasn’t been used since 1934, but there will be a clamor to use it now.

An awful lot of ground to cover in this HFR.  Here we go….

TRUMP’S FOREIGN POLICY IN ONE WORD: RECIPROCITY

dont-tread-on-meCritics of Donald Trump claim there is no rhyme or reason to his foreign policy. But there is – it’s called reciprocity.

Trump tries to force other countries to treat the United States as it treats them. In “Don’t Tread On Me” style, he also warns enemies that any aggressive act will be replied to in kind.

The underlying principle of Trump commercial reciprocity is that the United States is no longer powerful or wealthy enough to alone underwrite the security of the West. It can no longer assume sole enforcement of the rules and protocols of the postwar global order.

This year there have been none of the usual Iranian provocations—frequent during the Obama Administration—of harassing American ships in the Persian Gulf. Apparently, the Iranians now realize that anything they do to an American ship will be replied to with overwhelming force. They can be taught.

TRUMP IS NORMAL – SWAMP THINGS ARE NOT

Why do Swamp Things criticize absolutely everything President Trump says or does, when it exposes them as shallow, dishonest, hypocritical jackasses?

Establishment elitists and NeverTrump fellow travellers got the vapors over what the president said at the NATO conference. Watch above – and smile -- as Trump utters the words that triggered them so.

It’s a bad idea for Germany to buy natural gas from Russia because it makes Germany vulnerable to blackmail, and because what Germany will pay for the gas could finance Russian aggression, the president said.  And it’s way past time for the 28 other NATO nations to bear their fair share of the common defense.

In what alternate universe must one dwell to think prodding NATO allies to spend more on defense, and depriving Russia of billions of euros of hard currency helps Putin?

HE CHOSE WISELY

Democrats, so demented with hate they are morphing into violent Nazi Fascists, have chosen poorly.  The President by contrast has chosen wisely.

It should be embarrassing to some social conservatives that they refuse to see this.

An additional cross President Trump must bear as he battles Democrats, the MSM, the entrenched bureaucracy and the GOPe to make America America again is supporters suffering severe brain fog.

In hindsight, we can see why President Trump chose wisely for Kavanaugh over social conservative favorite Amy Coney Barrett.  Here’s why…

CAN WE TALK ABOUT BLACK ABORTION?

taking-black-livesAs Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination tees up another national debate about “reproductive rights” is it too much to ask that abortion’s impact on the black population be part of the discussion?

When the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade in 1973, polling showed that blacks were less likely than whites to support abortion.

In the intervening decades, those views shifted. Leaders of black civil-rights organizations today are joined at the hip with abortion-rights proponents such as Planned Parenthood – resulting in the enormous outsize toll that abortion has taken on the black population post-Roe.

In New York City, thousands more black babies are aborted than born alive each year, and the abortion rate among black mothers is more than three times higher than it is for white mothers. Nationally, black women terminate pregnancies at far higher rates than other women as well.

The little discussed flip side of “reproductive freedom” is that among blacks, abortion deaths far exceed those via cancer, violent crime, heart disease, AIDS and accidents.

A CONSERVATIVE COURT DECADES IN MAKING FOR DECADES TO COME

“The judge’s job is to interpret the law, not to make the law or make policy.  So read the words of the statute as written.  Read the text of the Constitution as written, mindful of history and tradition.  Don’t make up new constitutional rights that are not in the text of the Constitution.  Don’t shy away from enforcing constitutional rights that are in the text of the Constitution.”

--Judge Brett Kavanaugh, June 2, 2016

President Trump’s selection of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court last night (7/09) culminates a three-decade project unparalleled in American history to install a reliable conservative majority on the nation’s highest tribunal, one that could shape the direction of the law for years to come.

All of the years of vetting and grooming and lobbying and list-making by conservative legal figures frustrated by Republican appointees who drifted to the left arguably has come down to this moment, when they stand on the precipice of appointing a fifth justice who, they hope, will at last establish a bench firmly committed to their principles.

“They’ve been pushing back for 30 years, and, obviously, the announcement tonight is a big step in the right direction,” said Curt Levey, the president of the Committee for Justice, a conservative activist group, who has been working toward this goal full time since 2005. “It’ll be the first time we can really say we have a conservative court, really the first time since the 1930s.”

A LIBERAL LAW PROFESSOR’S CASE FOR BRETT KAVANAUGH

judge-brett-kavanaugh-family-w-trumpThe nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to be the next Supreme Court justice is President Trump’s finest hour, his classiest move.

Last week the President promised to select “someone with impeccable credentials, great intellect, unbiased judgment, and deep reverence for the laws and Constitution of the United States.” In picking Judge Kavanaugh, he has done just that.

In 2016, I strongly supported Hillary Clinton for president as well as President Barack Obama’s nominee for the Supreme Court, Judge Merrick Garland. But today, with the exception of the current justices and Judge Garland, it is hard to name anyone with judicial credentials as strong as those of Judge Kavanaugh.

He sits on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (the most influential circuit court) and commands wide and deep respect among scholars, lawyers and jurists.

Judge Kavanaugh, who is 53, has already helped decide hundreds of cases concerning a broad range of difficult issues. Good appellate judges faithfully follow the Supreme Court; great ones influence and help steer it.
