One year ago, Elon is talking to Larry Kudlow about the DOGE project to cut government spending. Skip ahead to the 34 second mark, when Elon starts explaining why Democrats hate DOGE.

 “Entitlement spending is the big one to eliminate. It’s the mechanism by which Democrats attract and retain illegal immigrants, by simply paying them to come here and then turn them in to voters. This is why Democrats are so upset about [DOGE]. Because if we turn off this gigantic money magnet for illegal immigrants then they will lose, the illegals will leave and the Democrats will lose voters…

This is why the biggest outcry will be from Democrats because they don’t want the waste and fraud to be turned off, as it’s a gigantic magnet to attract illegal immigrants and have them stay in the country. You see crazy stuff like money from FEMA meant to take care of Americans in distress is sent to luxury hotels in New York to house illegal immigrants. And that was happening even after the President (Trump) was elected and even after he signed an Executive Order saying that needs to stop.

It has to stop, as its absolutely outrageous that taxpayer money is paying for luxury hotels for illegals. So why is that being done? It’s because the Democrats are trying to import voters.”

 

A year ago.  Every Senator knew this. The GOP House proceeded to pass the SAVE America Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility America Act) by a vote of 220-208 on April 10, 2025. Ever since, for 16½ months and counting, the GOP-run Senate led by Judas John Thune has resolutely refused to pass it. For me, Thune and his Senate ilk are guilty of treason and belong in prison for doing so.

The last seven days have been high-stakes drama between a judge in Massachusetts on the Dem payroll ordering the single thread holding the Sword of Damocles above America to be cut, and Trump DOJ pleading with SCOTUS to overrule the judge.

 

On Friday (8/21), the USPS issued a final rule for “Ballot Mail for Federal Elections”. It said it would not implement the rule for the 2026 election unless existing injunctions were lifted.

On Monday (8/24), SCOTUS voted 6-3 to order a stay on Federal Judge of Massachusetts Indira Talwani’s injunction against the USPS rule: Supreme Court Delivers Major Election Integrity Victory in Big Win for Trump.  But not so fast.  Turns out that the stay only applied to one of two Talwani injunctions.

On Wednesday (8/26), Talwani vacated her second injunction, given the SCOTUS ruling: Trump’s Mail-In Voting Plan Can Proceed  After Judge Lifts Last Block.

On Thursday (8/27), mid-morning: US Postal Service Says New Mail Ballot Rules Tied To Trump Order Are In Effect. Within hours, Talwani accepted a new lawsuit by 24 blue states plus DC against the USPS, and issued a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) blocking it: Judge Blocks Rule Implementing Trump Plan To Restrict Mail-In Voting.

The hysterical desperation to preserve Democrat voter fraud is laughably obvious, yet it’s of Live-Or-Die mortal importance to America.  As of late afternoon today (8/28), no action has been announced by the White House or DOJ to request an emergency ruling by SCOTUS on Talwani’s TRO allowing USPS to proceed with its mail-in ballot ruling. requiring  all states to provide their voter rolls

The USPS ruling requires states must submit names and addresses of mail/absentee voters to a USPS portal. Outbound and return envelopes must meet design standards, including unique Intelligent Mail barcodes. USPS will not accept for delivery ballots that do not comply or that are addressed to people not on the submitted list. In states that do not provide the lists, USPS would not deliver those ballots.  BOOM!

Is there any hope now this will be allowed to take effect? Well, there’s this guy in Vegas…

At 11:22am this morning (8/28), POTUS posted this:

And what was “Trump’s five-word chilling response” that got the Daily Mail’s undies in a twist? “Let me just say that stranger things have happened, OK? I’ll leave it at that.” Chilling?  Only to cheating Dems and their Trump-hating acolytes like at the Daily Mail.

Exactly one minute later at 11:23am, POTUS followed up with:

 

Okay, I was being flippant about Wayne Allyn Root being just “a guy in Vegas” although he does live there (after all, I lived in Vegas for three years once (1977-79). He’s got a bona fide good idea here, so good that POTUS goes public on liking it.

What Root says about the National Emergencies Act is true: any President has the right to declare a National Emergency; it can only be overturned by a 2/3 vote of both Senate & House; SCOTUS has only limited judicial review.  The NEA however cannot violate federal law and must be based upon specific federal law.

The law a POTUS NEA declaration would be based on is the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA), signed September 30, 1996. It added 18 U.S.C. § 611: it is a federal crime for an alien to vote in an election for President, Vice President, Senate, or House.

States that refuse to ensure citizen-only voting by legally refusing to have Voter ID and other precautions against illegal voting could be declared in violation of the IIRIRA.  Root claims this violation would justify Trump  declaring a “National Security Emergency for Elections” to bypass the Senate, and install Voter Photo ID, proof of citizenship, and end mail-in ballots, ballot harvesting, and ballot drop boxes.

The question is, why did Trump post these messages?  To announce he is really going to do this – or is he telling the Supreme Court, please invalidate Talwani’s shenanigans quickly so I don’t have to get into an NEA imbroglio?  We’ll know soon.

Tuesday (8/25): “The Magic Deportation Bus”: US Prepares For Largest-Ever Mass Visa Revocation In History.

“Shortly after AP News reported Monday evening that the Trump administration was preparing the largest mass visa revocation in US history, targeting up to 200,000 foreigners, the White House posted a meme on X spoofing the animated series The Magic School Bus and renaming Ms. Frizzle’s vehicle ‘The Magic Deportation Bus.’

The report states that the State Department is expected to announce the rolling cancellation of B1 and B2 visas issued between 2016 and 2026. The revocations will be coordinated with the Department of Homeland Security to identify affected visa holders.

‘We are coordinating with DHS to identify and revoke the nonimmigrant visas of foreigners who have come to the United States claiming to be short-term visitors, but then file for asylum to stay here permanently,’ State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott told the outlet.”

 

200K being deported?  That’s just getting started.  How about a million? Temporary Protected Status Ends For 13 Nationalities.

”A court  effectively ended Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for the last of 13 nationalities that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) targeted during President Donald Trump’s second term.  In total, more than a million foreign nationals living in the United States with such deportation protections are now up for removal.

The 13 countries included Haiti, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, Cameroon, Nepal, Honduras, Nicaragua, Venezuela, South Sudan, Burma, Somalia, and Ethiopia.

‘For decades, TEMPORARY Protected Status was used as a [de facto] amnesty program. Those days are OVER. Those with terminated TPS are now in our nation ILLEGALLY. They must leave now or be swiftly DEPORTED,’ said the DHS on X. DHS is urging  foreign nationals to self-deport – take a free flight home and a $2,600 check – or be removed.”
